Subwoofer enclosures

Good morning everyone,

I am looking to install a subwoofer into my 2022 Gladiator Altitude with base sound system and 7 inch uconnect. I would rather not use the storage space under the rear seat if I can avoid it. I was wondering what enclosures you all recommend that could fit behind the rear seat for a 10 or 12 inch sub. I am thinking of getting a 5 channel amp to also power my other speakers (already upgraded).

I put a Kicker HS10 behind the rear seat on the drivers side. It fits great in the pocket behind the seat and it's self powered. I also have the stock sub though with the upgraded sound system. Made enough of an improvement for me to be worth it. On it's own I don't know, but do some searching because several people have used the HS10 in theirs as well and I'm sure some of those are without the stock sub.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't completely ruled out a self powered sub, but I think I would prefer one requiring a separate amplifier. I intend to amp my other speakers and the Sub with a single 5 channel amp to reduce the amount of wiring I would need to run.
