First of all, a shout out to @ShadowsPapa for tips on the replacement and American Adventure Lab for their quick release fender liners making easy work of aux battery access.
I was getting intermittent blinker out notifications when temps were hotter (95+) and colder (25-) even though blinkers were visibly working. I assumed it could be aux was going bad. Notifications seemed to happen more frequent when heat or ac was on with lights and radio.
Replaced both main and aux battery, no complications and everything seems to be working just fine.
I did use an old diehard batter alternator tester/charger on the old batteries, main battery came back at 90%, and aux battery at 70%. These were the oem batteties, 4 1/2 years old and 19k miles. Jeep did sit for extended periods of time for first 3 years of ownership, is now driven almost every other day.
