20,000 kms on my Teraflex tie rod on my JT. Had a clunk when you swung the vehicle hard one way and then back the other like something in the suspension was shifting. Honestly felt like it was under my feet. During my troubleshooting I found that the ball joints on the Teraflex tie rod ends were extremely loose. I think they tightened 2-3 of the marker line notches. Not sure if any damage (extra wear) was done to them since they were so loose. Seem that after tightening them up my clunk is gone.
Anyone out there with the Teraflex tie rod check on yours.
There is a good video on youtube, you'll need a 4 pin adjustment tool to torque them to 90 in/lbs. Also, there are 4 allen screws you need to remove before torqueing it. Once torqued you want to go to the closest alignment line but don't want to over tighten them or it can cause extra wear.
Side note, when I pulled the plugs on the bottom of the tie rod end joints one of the grease nipples was loose in the rubber boot and the other grease nipple was loose.
