i went with american iron offroad ball joint deletes for $550. they made a night and day difference. i'm running 40" maxxis AT tires with a teraflex 4.5" lift. i wore out the stock ball joints in 5k miles. i've put 6k miles on the deletes and they still feel like new. they are also rebuildable. at harbor freight, i bought the maddox ball joint tool for $90. you do not need the add on kit as the correct size adapter is included in the base kit.

I know I'm not answering your question (sorry) but I'd also consider Apex Chassis ball joints. Price is in line with Synergy, and, while they are not rebuildable, they have a lifetime replacement guarantee.

From my research, anything is probably better than the stock ones.

That said, so far mine have been just fine with my 37's. Have about 8k miles since the tire swap. I'll wait to upgrade them until I go with the Reid knuckle swap.?

I would go with the dyna's since it looks like they have a c-clip to help hold the ball joint in place and help prevent pull out.

I have now seen a handful of recovery videos of new jeeps where u joint blows up then pulls the ball joint out. Ball joint pull out seems to be a common failure.

I would also replace those cast aluminum knuckles with cast iron if you are going through the effort of pulling everything apart. They also seem to fail alot too.

I have heard rumors that these new dana M2xx aka 44's are not the same as the old dana 44's and use a inner C design more related to a dana 30 inner C. Thus why there are a lot of ball joints getting pulled out and wearing out early.

There's Metal Cloak as well. Pricey and currently out of stock but they allow you to balance the load to both the upper and lower.

I think it's really personal preference, these good brands are all running a good product. Personally I have Teraflex, I recently swapped them from stock at about 45k miles. But I'm all sorts of Frankenstein right now. Superlift Suspension 4" lift coils with Fox shocks, Teraflex ball joints and leveling pucks in the front, Rough Country steering stabilizer, Steer Smarts Yeti track bar and tie rod. ?

Everything wears out eventually and gets replaced, I would say go with the company with the better warranty in the end.

I ended up doing a Dynatrac Pro Rock 44 unlimited / reverse cut in the front, and a Pro Float XD 60 in the rear. So went with their HD ProSteer balljoints. Lifetime guarantee for failure, and also rebuildable. At the same time did the Reid HD knuckles and a Teraflex big brake kit in the front.. the rear axle came w/ F-150 brakes.

I run Dynatrac's on my JK with 37's. Great ball joint and being rebuildable is a plus. When my Jt needs ball joints, they will be Dynatrc's.

Can we get them in non-knurled yet?

Out of those 2 I would go with the Dynatrac. However I would go Teraflex over either. Price is inline with the Synergy but a better built balljoint in my opinion.
