All those rooftop tents (RTTs) we researched were not only $2-3k and higher, but they were also 150 lbs. Then there’s storage and pulley systems and a whole bunch of things we weren’t ready for. THEN we found the C6 Rev tent at Expos West.

Takes 8-10 min to set up vs the 2min clam shells but at less than ½ the price and (more importantly) ¼ the weight we were sold.

I’m not a big guy but a 48lb platform, upon which sits the 25lb tent, is no sweat to set up solo. A legit 4-in thick 48” x 81” mattress. (Easily fits me + a kid + gear but depending on your own dimensions I wouldn’t assume more than 2 people.)

Post-adventure, it stores under bed or in closet quite easily.

As seen in the pictures, this paired perfectly with our Jeep Gladiator Diamondback HD cover and PakRax rack (also for sale). Otherwise, it is extremely versatile as ground tent and/or rooftop proper on almost any vehicle (see reviews below).

Reviews for reference:

Included:
  • Rev tent (“Forrest” color)
  • Aluminum platform (fits most racks, crossbar hardware included))
  • 7.5’ telescopic ladder and carrying case
  • Shoe bag (outside the tent)
  • Gear loft (inside the tent)
  • C6 fitted sheet and blanket
  • Platform and tent instructions
Sleeping off the ground allows us to camp anywhere our truck can reach which is especially handy with the stony ground here in AZ. The fact that it’s so lightweight and easy to store just makes camping and adventure so much simpler and more enjoyable.

Rev Tent and accessories retail for ~$1500, priced to sell at $950

Hey Ryan. Up in Mesa. I have a few outside-of-Phx folks inquiring so let me know if you have any questions or want to see other photos and if interested we can work something out.

is this still available?
I swear I marked this as sold. Apologies. (But I would still recommend checking them out. It was a game-changer for us.)

No worries! Yeah, I've been looking into them. I'm looking to get the Rebel Xplor half rack and trying to decipher which tent would work best.
Since these are cheaper in price, was the quality cheaper in any way? And why did you end up selling it?

Not cheaper quality at all. Realy strong poles and fabric and legit 4" mattress. And lifestyle/storage -wise, to me, it's unparalleled. 25 lb tent on 45 lb platform means it comes off easy with no help and stores in bedroom closet. No pulleys no driving around with it the other 300 days a year etc.

The only reason I didn't keep that set up for the next 10 years was the fact that as the kids keep growing I had to figure out a way to sleep 4. Sleeping 1-2 in the Rev tent (as advertised) is killer. But when I had both kids it wouldn't work.

I liked the Rev tent so much I even thought about keeping it for my kids when they have their own rig but that was soon vetoed as it's at least 6 years away:).

(I'm in AZ and went with Habitat for the sleep 4 solution BTW.)

Okay, awesome! Thank you for all that information. It's currently just my wife and I right now so it sounds like the c6 setup might be the way to go.
Thanks again for all the help!
