Strange, mine came with the locks to prevent lifting it out. With the locks in place and locked.... Im able to swing the cases out?Bought it off another local gladiator owner for half the cost.
Mine is on the passenger side. Does block a light, but the other is bright enough to me. Would not run two. Does make the tie down harder to get to, but I have found it still usable - swing it out of the way to attach ratchet/rope and swing back. Not a huge deal to me. Also yes, drill holes but to me it's the bed so ?‍.
Decent storage space. I keep some ratchets/rope/other quick access things for whatever adventure I am going to.
Have to remember to twist the lid lock closed otherwise it opens in the highway wind, or bouncing off-road. The box itself is plenty stable though.
The biggest negative to me is that to lock it so someone can't pull it out, you block the swing out ability. So if I need to swing it out, I have to take my lock off first. 99.99% of the time I just reach over the bed to get to it because of this.
Planning a tonneau cover soon. Once that is on I will pull the lock off to get the "swing" back.
Overall, good. Don't think it's worth the full cost though.
