My Diver Down seat covers from Quadratec arrived today, probably a couple of months ahead of my Mojave, so we should have plenty of time to sort this out.
I’m trying to get some input and links on what you guys are using on your black cloth seats or seat covers.
I had these exact same covers on my Sahara and they went from Black and Tan to Bronze/Brown and Tan in probably less than six months. I’m trying to treat them while I’m waiting so that hopefully I’ll get some more time of them being the color that I ordered.
Diver Down specifically states on their warranty card that neoprene will fade with exposure to the sun. I get that, I’m just trying to slow the process.
Where I’ve moved since I retired in January is a little less harsh environment than 29 Palms was. I imagine a lot less days with the doors off, but still quite a few. I’m 29 the only months where the doors never came off were normally December and January. The rest of the “winter” you could expect some 60’s and 70’s occasionally. The sun wore my other covers out.
So, what have you had luck with , specifically with neoprene, to keep the sun at bay for a while?
Thanks fellas. Here’s what I had in a few short months in the desert:

303 Fabric Guard is what I have in the garage. I was going to try it out on my JLU soft top. I don't know how much fade resistance it has, it is more of a stain and water repellent.

Regardless, I would still apply something like this to new seat covers anyway.
