Today I spent most of my day trying to figure out how to install the new Westin HDX step boards on my 2021 Gladiator Mojave. Well, as many of you can already assume it was not a quick install. The instructions clearly state Driver Side and Passenger Side. The brackets even have engraved "D" for driver side and "P" for passenger. Those are suggestion!!!! When I tried to follow those instructions nothing would match up. The step board brackets would be so far apart from the support brackets that it make you think that you have to drill holes. Thankfully, YOUTUBE, has some videos that noted the fact that the instructions are useless and you have to put the puzzle together to make it fit. I started at 8:40AM and I thought I would be done about 11. NOT! I finished by 3:30PM. If you decide to install them on your rig you will need to swap the Driver side Center bracket to the Passenger side. The opposite for the Passenger side. Do start with the front end bracket first and those brackets do go in the correct side according to the instructions. The funny things is that the "HDX" tag goes towards the rear and which the correct way to install them. Once I finished they came out pretty good and provide that extra support needed for my mom to get in the Jeep. Anyway, if you don't mind puzzles then the Westin HDX instructions will be for you. Here are the before and after pics.
