Back on February 4th one of the members here shared an almost too good to be deal on a set of Westin Pro Traxx 4 Series Powdercoated Black Nerf Bars for $58.23 plus tax. I have the Rock Rails but really needed a step at times. Not wanting to drop a lot of money I’ve been watching Marketplace and Craigslist, but no good deals in my area. So I did some research and felt fairly savf ordering from the company, carparts.com. For the price I didn’t have much to lose - but still use temp credit card # since these retail for $325 on some sites, so I had suspicion going into the deal, didn’t help when I came back the next day and the post had been removed, but I stuck with the order.

The package shipped out on the 2/6. Didn't take long to get from TX to the NW. However, FexEx in the Northwest SUCKS. Troutdale Oregon is usually the island of lost toys, but in my case my nerf bard went all over the freaking State. After being lied to by FedEx several times as well as the carparts.com India based support I was about ready to just cancel the deal. FedEx kept telling me the package was out for delivery, yet it showed it was in Tacoma WA - some 250 miles away. I really hate that talking to a competent, honest human at FedEx is near impossible.

But low and behold on 2/15 the package arrived… finally. To my dismay they were brand new, and in good shape plus all the parts were included - so no scam.

Now I know these are not high end at all, but overall I’m happy and for the price I can’t complain one bit. Since I’m hoping to go with a throwback Scrambler style these should fit right in - as long as I don’t get into serious rock crawling.

For $58 I'm very happy... my back on the other hand is still very angry with me. Now to clean up the pinch seam and see about painting it.

HAHA... I bought a set too; not expecting them to show up at all. I have a Willys with the rock rails but we are traveling this week with my mother in law. She struggles to get in so I figured for $60, it would be worth it to grab these for road trips. She loves them and I can throw them is storage as soon as we get home. Great deal for the price for sure.

@mudfish yep total gamble, but for the price it was a pretty good deal. These will keep the door dings at bay for the time being at least. Though I'm pretty sure if I park near a rock theh will start sobbing ;)

Nice, glad someone else got in on the deal. I posted the thread & it was promptly deleted with no explanation... guessing I broke some sponsor related rule.

Yea, I saw it at night before bed, mentioned it to my wife in the morning, and she said to grab them before they fix the sale... went back and the thread was gone. luckily I still had the website in my history.

So for those that have installed these, I've run into a squeak that appears to be from a Jeep bracket on the passenger side that the front mount is right up against. I got back under and made a few adjustments but I don't really see a way to work around it. Curious if anyone else has a similar bracket under theirs? Mine is a 2020 Rubicon - not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Just curious are you close to LA Grande? Have a sister that lives there.

@Iowafarm we're sort of close, its about 2 hours away. We used to do a lot of ATVing and camping just west of La Grande. We lived in Central Missouri for sometime and almost moved to La Mars years ago.

No noises for me (there is something floating around in my driver side tube but it doesn't make any noticeable noise once installed) & I didn't notice any interfering brackets. Have a pic to show where the issue is?

I think my adjustments yesterday worked, we went out last night and no more noises from it. Like you there is some production junk in the tubes but that's a non-issue.

Here's a shot of the L shaped bracket, this is on the passenger front bracket.

I went out to look & have the same bracket + some of the dirt is rubbed off where I obviously touched it during the install. Guess I just got lucky & positioned everything so it wouldn't touch / make noise.
