The system seems to be very picky about the quality of the cables used to connect phones. I had a lot of trouble until I switched to the Anker high durability cables. I have the three foot red version of this cable, and it has worked quite well for over fifteen months. I use a Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, so you might need a newer (higher speed) version of the cable for your phone.

Not saying you're wrong, but "picky" just doesn't mean "new, quality, etc". I've tried new/quality "data" cables that are real flaky as well. As a matter of fact the one that works the best for me is an old cheap cable with a USB C adapter on it. It could be my phone's usb port however (samsung 9+ so not too old) but I'm not sure. Wireless just gets around this altogether.

I don't understand your argument.

Fine your old cable works. Mine doesn't.

Are you suggesting I find and older shitter cable?

If it's all the same to you $17 isn't a lot to insure my 40k+ truck has a feature that actually works and he's recommending a known good wire.

I'll take the advice.

Not arguing (I thought I stated that), I'm just stating that if someone has new cables and it still doesn't work they might try a few others (even older) because even a $17 cable doesn't insure that it will work.

Also they might check to make sure that they are using "data cables" (even if new).

Sorry you seem to get so upset, but just so you're clear I wasn't suggesting you do anything.

Not arguing (I thought I stated that) Okay but you literally did, just saying I'm not arguing doesn't mean you're not arguing, I'm just stating that if someone has new cables and it still doesn't work they might try a few others (even older)You think people are too stupid to try a different cable they already own? Do you also recommend to those same people to not wipe their ass with sandpaper? because even a $17 cable doesn't insure that it will work He clearly stated he uses that cable and it does work so why wouldn't I try that cable?.

Also they might check to make sure that they are using "data cables" (even if new). But he recommended an specific KNOWN working cable so how is this relevant?

Sorry you seem to get so upset, but just so you're clear I wasn't suggesting you do anything. I'm not upset but you came in here and made zero contribution to the thread while bragging your old crappy cable works, what is anyone supposed to do with that information? Literally nothing.

So what's your point? How are you being helpful? Did you actually read any of his post or are you just thinking up arguments that have no foundation given the context of the discussion for the sake of trying to be right about something?
