I'm looking for a set of new all-terrain Rubicon takeoffs. Mine came with MT which I can use whenever I go off-roading out West. I'd like to have a set of the AT tires and just switch back to the MT's whenever I'm going on off-roading trips. The stock Rubicon MT's seem to really affect my MPG (only 24mpg on long highway trips) so I'm thinking/hoping that it'll be worthwhile to get a set of the AT's.

So your looking for Falken Wildpeak ATIII's? I have those in 35's and use them during off-road "season". I'd honestly get something less aggressive for your daily driving. Ended up getting a nice set of Goodyear Wranglers from Discount for $500 installed. (31's mind you.) With the warranties and replacement certificates it just makes sense to buy new with a tire you are on the majority of the time.

Thanks for the perspective. I figure the AT's will give me better gas mileage, handling and wet traction than the MT's that's on it now. Twice a year I go out to Wiley Well's road and the Hauser Geode beds near Blythe, California, that is desert and rocky and then the National Forest roads near Payson, Arizona's Mogollon peak where it snows and has muddy forest roads when the snow melts. But I still do my share of going off-road for work related things on muddy roads and mines on a weekly basis. I figure having an extra set of wheels with the mud tires on them will be ideal for the extreme stuff but really need the AT for the not-so-extreme weekly stuff. There's a discount tire nearby that fixes flats for free (hard to believe) and for $80 they offer unlimited rotate and balance for the lifetime on the set of tires on your vehicle (they note the numbers on the tires) even if they weren't bought there. They've done an awesome job balancing AT tires on my trucks these past few years.

Ya, I've brought two different sets of tires to them including my used 35's and they put the certificates on them which is fantastic. I have heard that some stores will do free flat repair, I know mine has done it for people.

Anyway before we go off topic more hope you find some! :)
