FCA and AM General have announced a new light tactical concept vehicle at the Annual Meeting and Exposition of the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA). The Jeep Gladiator Extreme Military-Grade Truck (XMT) by AM General will feature both custom-built and commercially available military-grade parts,” according to AM General. Some of those modifications include a brush guard and tube doors. Also seen in the photo are special seats, front grille guard, front bumper, winch, upgraded wheel/tires, suspension lift, communications, and a desert/sand color.
More details will come, but for now AM General promises that the Gladiator XMT will offer “unmatched functionality, versatility, and especially capability.” It will have two advanced four-wheel-drive systems, locking differentials, skid plates, tow hooks and “incredible approach, breakover and departure angles.” Check out the press release and photos inside.
