Bar with 4 holes on Rubicon

Hi everyone, does anyone know if a hitch receiver can fit on the bar I got on my rubicon? I ordered the curt 13434 ... too quick and after removing the bumper, I just realized that there is no way that it will make it as the flat plate isn´t on that version... I want to avoid to replace the whole bar... it seems that there holes have a purpose... but knowing Jeep, it must be a funny one

You just want the receiver. It bolts to the bar as pictured. See if the one you have lines up. May be a different receiver for Rubicon, but I just looked at mine and it’s similar. Ask forum member @AllMoparParts.com to verify fitment.

Thanks, I don't have that plate present on the picture, the bar on my rubicon has the reference Mopar 68358469AA
Mopar comments it as following: Rear trailer hitch WITHOUT receiver. For export models only
I took measures and the one with the 4 bolts must fit, so I will give a try and let a note here in case someone faces the same issue one day.

We just put one on my brothers JL Rubicon. It was a tight fit but after the holes lined up, we torqued it down and he was ready to go. Hope it works out for you.

Something to notice is "Export" so there can be some odd differences.
Not any helpful information for you but might cut ridiculous answers and comments.

I think you're on the right track, and need to now bolt on the additional aftermarket hitch.

Personally, I'd just remove the base hitch you have currently installed and replace it with the proper US spec one designed for the gladiator (like what @Summitsearcher posted above).

If you decide to continue to piece it together with multiple parts, make sure each component meets or exceeds the tow rating in your door jamb so those components don't reduce the vehicle's towing capability.

Another option: if you keep an eye on local marketplace listings sometimes members post their OEM hitches for sale for cheap if they needed to remove theirs for a new aftermarket bumper or bed bob project.

Thanks guys, it is definitely tagged export, funny things are that the dealers here have no idea which part to order so they just want to charge 2k for the full bar (replacing the existing one). My main usage will be the bike rack so I have checked the tong load and happy with it. Cheers.

Quick update with the delivery today of the hitch receiver Nilight.
This doesn´t... fit the bar they put for the export models (NZ here) is thinner and on the 4 holes, only the 2 center ones are aligned with that receiver, so thanks Ama-zoon for the awesome return policy... next round

Another update here for the export rubicon (Oceania, Australia/New Zealand), it seems that Jeep narrows the choice of options to.... only one
Dealers are selling the part 882200JTTB - tow bar fitting the OEM bar...

So customer must be ready to pay NZD 1800 for it... hum not yet ready here

On a positive note, that OEM bar looks strong as the hitch has the braking capacity of 2700 Kgs

Just an update, I finally bought the OEM hitch they sell for the APAC regions, so 5 minutes to install it and I don´t expect to have difficulties to plug in the OEM wiring harness.

I have a JTR like you with the export bar and don't want to change over the whole lot for the sake of getting a hitch separately
