Rockman Fabrications LLC Jeep Gladiator Underseat Storage Box

My wife and son got me the Rockman Fabrications LLC Jeep Gladiator Underseat Storage Box for Christmas and so far I love it.
I just had the plastic tub in my Gladiator and it was nice but offered no security. The Rockman box is 18ga steel with two lockable metal compression latches. While given enough time I'm sure someone could get into it most of the vehicle break in's in my area are just rummaging through unlocked vehicles for a few seconds.
It has 2,350 cubic inches of storage which is enough for my recovery gear, winch remote, medium sized extinguisher and a good handful of tools and whatnots I carry.
Plan on putting a few things in the bed once I can get the inside bed rack so will have even more room for a truck gun or the AR when traveling.

I like the fact that it's welded. And not bolted together. Biggest issue I see is the lid closes around the top and doesn't sit flush inside the top lip. Also on their website it states 18 ga. heavy duty metal. Sorry but 18 ga isn't heavy duty anything. Could have made it out of 1/8 or 3/16 aluminum. From a 30 year fabricators point of view. Price point isn't to bad either.

I didn't think about it sitting flush but was thinking it having a lip would help keep the rain out when I'm doorless.

I more of a security minded guy when it comes to that. If it locks and you can't get a prybar under it then it's more secure. IMO

I didn't completely remove it but I think it will be tight getting the push in fasteners in and out. I can easily slide my fingers between the box and mat so sliding it back under won't be a problem. I may go try to completely remove it when I get home just to see.

I‘m not trying to open up an old post…but I did a search… and I’m looking for underseat lockable storage for my 2024.
I would assume you are given a ‘new’ KEY? OR can you set it up using your current OEM key?

It comes with two small keys for the locks about the size of a masterlock key. Both latches are lockable. Really enjoying this in my Gladiator so far. Feel a good bit better about leaving my recovery gear in there knowing someone will have to work a good bit before they can walk away with it.
