So my son is graduating high school in May and really wants to go hunt something other than the normal deer, coyotes, rabbits, etc that we take here in Fauquier County on our property before he heads off to college. He says taking a deer is so easy now considering my wife and daughter hand feed them cherry tomatoes from our front porch. 15 to 20 bed down each night in our yard and the neighbors. The adult does are so comfortable with us that they come have their babies in our flower bed and leave them there and care for them until they can go off on their own. Pretty crazy, but the kid is right. I walk out on the front porch and take my pick as to which one is next to load the freezer. One shot and drag it to the shed to clean it. Rabbits just as abundant. And probably 150 squirrels taken in the last year alone. I am not rich so hunting something very large or exotic is out due to cost. So I have narrowed it down to certain sheep/rams and hogs. We are close to Northern VA and I was trying to find a good place for a 2 day in Virginia, West Virginia, or PA. Found one in West Virginia called Hog Heaven. Fairly inexepensive and we could hunt one day for hogs and the next for rams or vice versa. They do not have a lodge to stay in which I was hoping for, but it would be under $1000 per person for a 2 day and 4 kills total. If anyone knows of any good places in those 3 states, please let me know.

Depends who you ask
Shoot out here in Shenandoah county the deer population is thin so it’s still quite a challenge. Can’t help you there. I do know out west the feral hogs are destructive and they are pretty much open season year round

I’m surprised the deer don’t shy away after hearing a few gunshots… they keep coming back, huh?

They are close enough that a .22 with suppressor takes them down quickly with one head shot at maybe 5 feet away.
