Here is mine with a 3 inch lift on 35s with 3.73 gears. I never get out of 6th gear unless I am going down hill and then I hit 7th for a second until I hit the bottom of the hill. If you are looking to stay on 35s you should think about doing a re-gear.

Did you adjust for the change in tire size? If not that can change for the better.

I am on 35s with the diesel and no major impact once I changed the tire size in the computer. I can still do a line lock and spin my rear wheels with ease. Not that I do it often, but my son wanted to know if I could do it. If I were to do it again I would probably go 35 X 11.5 to shave a little weight and keep them tucked into the fenders more.

There is a huge difference between a diesel on 3.73 and a Gas on 3.73. The gas engine only has 285HP with 260ft lbs of torque where as the diesel has 260HP with 442ft lbs of torque. You have almost double the torque I do and as such do not require the same gear ratio as a gas engine. For example the gas engine on 35s is recommended 4.88 but the diesel its 4.10 and the diesel with 4.88s can run 40s but the gas needs 5.38s. To answer your original question yes the tire size is changed in the computer.

All of them have the same issue. I can do 80MPH with 3.73 gears but it doesn't get out of 6th gear unless I go downhill. I think most people think because they are doing 70-80mph they must be in 7th or 8th gear and that is not the case. You can change the selection in the menu to show you exactly what gear you are in.

I ended up going with the Goodyear Duratrac 285/75/18s on the current mopar lift along with a Teraflex 1" spacing to level the front. They came out to about 34.5" from what I measured. I think they look great. They are quiet and so far rides and tracks perfectly.
