Yes, I replaced the entire transmission!

So, tell me more about the shift selector? Was this an issue at some point?
I actually am experiencing an issue myself. But it's different (reverse) . These transmissions are drive by wire . It was not me but others who posted in Jeep forums I lurk around several of these. About them failing. It literally has a plug and play application. I know a guy personally who had one stop working on a 2019 or 2020 JL Wrangler. This could be your problem. He ordered another one and slapped it in solved his problem. There is NO actual cable on the shift selector just wires.

Thank you and I appreciate your contributions. I'll be brining this into dealer with a little info and suggestions from what I find here and through my builder. The more info the better!

The dreaded dealer, I just hope they are willing to at least give a go. Whil eit is out of warranty, I find this issue to be a software issue, unrelated to any hardware modifications. (at least in my eyes)

Your welcome , it has to be a software or electrical wiring issue . I know another guy who had a continual bank one cam code and was told it was a wiring problem after He was given a new "Chrysler Original Cam" then it actually turned out to be a incorrectly built cam with a tone ring that was manufactured 8°off out of time. . Got another cam shipped to him solved the problem . So it can swing both ways electrical and mechanical. My friend actual bought and installed an entire wiring harness because of this was 2 sections costing him over 3,000 dollars . He had been over 6 months diagnosing the problem. He figured it out after He sent off diagnostic code to be dicephered and then confirmed with a cam timing alignment tool that you place through the valve cover that lines up with the holes in the cam . Tool was 200.00 . These motors are actually quite complex and the transmissions I believe to be as complex . I sorta miss the old day when timing was aligning a tooth and a simple valve body and shift solenoid or governor was all the more complicated that it got . Heck I think I miss a real manual transmission and clutch 😂😂 even more.
P.S. good thing my friend had 2 jeeps 😂

Seen a video the other night , explaining the valve body , the parking solenoid is electrically actuated , and the others are controlled via pump pressure .. wonder if this is a valve body problem ? Any news on this ?

No updates yet. Another thought is mt Air Compressor is mounted in the engine bay and dangerously close to the Genisys Dual battery conversion, ...like a 1/2". We've had previous issues with arching and my builder is going to move it under the seat and see it this solves anything. Also swapping brake pads and installing an AWE exhaust. After i get it back and go wheeling, will go to dealer if it's still acting up. And my guess is it will.
