Replace it with some thumb screws to make it even easier to removes.
They need to be tighter than that to meet our weight, durability and functionality standard 👍

But you could always try your own modifications

We've had a few questions regarding the weight rating and we're sorry we forgot to include this.

Our website server is having an issue where it is working fine but we can't edit the site right now.

The weight rating on the Cross Terrain steps is 300 pounds, please note the factory rail does not have a weight rating.

In the shop we have had over 320 pounds bounce on it without issue.

320lbs? That's some serious weight handling right there 😳 Again, great product guys! I would love to rock these on my JT, but no worries - saving up now :)

two of us weighed ourselves independently on our shipping scale and then we both got on the step together and bounced for a little while. So it was very scientific.

we also wanted to check the upward pressure grip of our clamp design:

Love it! BUT, you better add a disclaimer how that should not be used as a jack point - even though it can handle the weight, people may get the wrong idea. Believe me, if I didn't know better I'd see that as a useful jack spot especially for lifted vehicles 😳 😁

Yes, 💯 only use approved jack points.

This is just for our internal testing. Never jack a Jeep from the rails 👍

Does anyone have pictures of two pairs on the JT? I’m interested but would like pics first. Thanks.
