You’re getting adjustable rear upper control arms and a rear track bar bracket with the RK that you won’t get with the JKS (you didn’t specify exactly which arms you are getting with the JKS). What tires and wheels do you plan to run? The RK arms don’t have a tire clearance bend, and require more backspacing.Rock Krawler 3" Max Travel kit and RK 2.25 shocks for $2k shipped.... Looking at the JKS kit with Fox shocks and LCAs for about $1650, is the RK that much better?
I was going "cheap" on the JKS and getting the non-adjustable arms, right now planning on running the current JLUR wheels that are already on 1.75 inch spacers and 315/70s.You’re getting adjustable rear upper control arms and a rear track bar bracket with the RK that you won’t get with the JKS (you didn’t specify exactly which arms you are getting with the JKS). It probably depends on what you will do with it, and what your ultimate goal is. I put that JKS kit on a Gladiator yesterday, and it’s a good value. Should be maintenance free with those arms.I was going "cheap" on the JKS and getting the non-adjustable arms, right now planning on running the current JLUR wheels that are already on 1.75 inch spacers and 315/70s.
Thanks, think I am going to stick with the JKS, I like the maintenance free aspect, and honestly most of my off road use is pastures, deer leases and dirt roads. Not climbing too many rocks. It probably depends on what you will do with it, and what your ultimate goal is. I put that JKS kit on a Gladiator yesterday, and it’s a good value. That sounds like a good match. I drove it right after putting it on. It was a little more firm than stock, but still comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like was the split steel spacers that go in the upper bushing of the rear sway bar links. It will collapse if tightened too much. This is a common issue due to the taper in the factory mounting point. Don’t over-tighten, and use locktite on it and you should be fine. Thanks, think I am going to stick with the JKS, I like the maintenance free aspect, and honestly most of my off road use is pastures, deer leases and dirt roads.
