Can I email someone a picture of my solution to post? I agree, turning the locks with that sliver and a not easy.

Not sure if that link will work but I have a pic posted on Instagram and that’s it. I can take better and email or text someone willing to post. Pm me?

Here we go

Without the back cover on it give the keys in pocket a bit of a tuck in place as well as providing some feel as to which side is which as you just try to stab the unlock/lock buttons while still in pocket.

you'll see the Jeep key, ground it flat to taper so it rides against other keys properly, probably drilled out the gear cogs in the center and filed those also, to make it more of a proper key that would fit on a proper key ring....Jeep(face palm)

So.... I gotta ask. Is that a piece of 6.5 Grendel brass on your keychain?

ya, it's my one luxury item, it's from the very first moose ever taken with a 6.5 Grendel, to my knowledge still the only moose although there are guys in Alaska using them more now so probably some moose have since been taken with it, lots of elk have but i got the first moose, it's become my pet cartridge, have several of them, i don't wear jewelry, if i did maybe i'd have it around my neck?

You know they've had a solution for this for YEARS...

Yes they did, i found those a little bulky and they could trip apart, the little spring steel clips like on mine are the minimalist more reliable way to do that, was nice when you had a vehicle key on either side and a few keys on one of the sides and no fob whatsoever, that was easy on the pocket. Now it's a ginormous fob on the one side with keys on the other, this is progress?...in 2020.:CWL:

Wish it was funny, but look at that disaster, that is the current solution, smaller, lighter, thinner than the actual Jeep fob and it's still massive. Thank you for pointing that out. All that giant chunk of plastic does is lock/unlock doors and allow a button to be pushed once inside the door. And this is 2020 eh? That is the joke my friend. Where that giant chunk of plastic is...should be something about 1/5th the size and weight. Look at an iphone for reasons why. A minimalist person, and there are plenty of us out there, who can throw 55 lbs of home/meals/optics/weapons on back and take off into the bush for a week solo...has a hard time stuffing that ginormous fob into the pack as well lol...never mind into your pocket for every day life...where maximum simplicity and comfort for a personal on body carry item should be at the forefront of design. It's a huge miss. But as many many many jeep owners have shown...i'm not alone. ;)

And ya, someone needs a life lol, that's a bad meme, i'd applaud a good one, but yours shows exactly the problem. Now photo shop the actual fob in there lol. Just remember...it only has two functions.

lol, some people do struggle with a + b = c sometimes. And now you've made a meme showing that haha

so, your happy to leave full access to all the contents of your glovebox, center console, and behind the seats of your gladiator to any dealership or install tech etc.?

also, the ajt fob is thinner, lighter and smaller, you're only showing the overview, having them side by side and you'd probably not have made that meme as you'd know the difference is greater than you're making it seem with your meme

and these two giant messes have only two functions, and they are a highly carried item on a person, daily, all day etc. so while applaud AJT for helping, it's still only a band-aid, i had no problem purchasing band-aid just like my wallet is still open for anyone else who comes up with a better solution or a full blown fix ;)

I like the fob. It's a little wider than my other keys/fobs but it's also shorter. I like the hidden key, and if it comes out in my pocket it's no different than having an actual key in there...

Couldn't tell if this was a serious complaint or not, but after 11 pages I get the impression it's not a joke.

I used to drive around with the valet key in the ignition and the fob/key on the ring. That way if I did manage to wear down the key I could just use the regular one. 8 years later and my ignition is more likely to fail than the key.

keep trying boys, as said before...it's indefensible, so if you like to lose a lot, keep comin ;)

that key fob would have made sense in a time when one computer filled an entire room, lmfao, this is 2020, like 50-60 years later lol, this is progress eh? i'm dying:CWL:

so just for more context, and really how not only the people behind the fob should be ashamed, but very embarrassed...

50-60 years ago that computer that filled a room we now put one on our wrist, and it's no bigger than any other watch, probably a stronger computer too...but our key fob that does two things needs to be 8 times bigger and heavier???? seriously people, it's a joke
