I have a factory spray in liner and tried to use M6x25mm but they seem too large. Any suggestions? Love the tie down idea.

Are you trying to use M6x1.0 threaded bolts? There are also fine thread M6x0.75 bolts, but rare, or maybe you are trying to use not metric bolts.

Like what was previously stated above used a m6x1.0 thread chaser (singles are inexpensive), put some oil on it, go in a little, back it out, repeat and go a little deeper each time, repeat until the thread is cleaned out, go easy and take your time.

They are flanged button head screws labeled M6x25-25 that measure exactly 1 inch not counting the head. Thanks for the help.
