How were the 3.73 off road with the 35s? Installing rubi shocks, springs and spacers tomorrow, so stil debating on final tire size between 33 and 35

Well, I wheeled today on 35s with the teraflex and the Rubicon set up. Tiny bit of rubbing. Over all , not bad. And 35s are the way to go.

Bit rough on climbs. Found myself in 2 more than 3 on climbs. Occasionally 1. Higher RPMS due to this, but not too bad. I usually go 4 low and use the tiptronic. Mostly 1,2,3 gears. Keeps me off the brakes. I was at 8,000-9,000 feet wheeling, so keep that in mind. Trail has a series of rocks and off camber parts. The rocks are a good 15 inches tall. I think I get about 19 degrees of lean as you negotiate the trees and rocks. Plus it was not a very technical trail. The one section I would rate as lower moderate. See video of previous trip with happy tags on brand new JTs. The first guy was brand new to off roading and then we got @Waggs making it look easy in his Diesel.

I went to a narrow 35x11.5 which helps. Black Rhino rims which do not help (40 pounds each) I'd also note I was running pretty empty. Just a few bits of recovery gear.

Mostly the 35s are a pig to get going, but once I am going they are fine. I did order 4.88. Should be done this month. I keep looking at off road trailers and I just feel like I will be very happy with the 4.88 and my altitude here in Colorado.

My advice would be to go 35 and see where you are at down in SC. Then save for a 4.56 or 4.88.

As a guy who went from 33 to 35 I can tell you the 35 is a game changer. What ever you choose, reflash your Jeep for the new tire size.

I apologize if this is long winded. Just wanted to give an accurate appraisal of the trail and conditions.

Great info, thank you for the time
Starting to lean towards the Kenda 35 10.5 17 on my stock steelies, 99 % of what I do is at sea-level or sometime a tad below ;)

I'd imagine you'd be fine. 35s look good with the rubicon parts and level kit.
