No more affiliate pricing?

I'm contacting dealerships in Alaska to find the best price on a factory order, and the last dealership I spoke with told me that "Jeep is not doing affiliate or employee pricing at this time."
Is this true, or is this specific dealership just not offering affiliate or employee pricing?

The last dealership I spoke with about the Tread Lightly discount made absolutely no mention of Jeep not offering it.

Anyone know?

It comes and goes. I checked with a dealer myself and he said - well, without naming names, here's a snippet of the email he sent - which supports your dealer's comments - sort of. It varies, it's going on and off, likely because of production issues and the economy and inflation, who knows.
Not all dealers do work with it. I'd have another dealer verify, and check, not just say "yes" but actually CHECK with FCA. Would be bad if you ordered then when it arrived they denied it.

He lied, they do
Not necessarily - see my comment above. It's not always available on all models. Maybe it is on the gladiator but see the snippet from the email I got from a Jeep DEALER.........

That's good advice. At this point, I've now had a couple dealerships say that they're happy to work with the Tread Lightly FCA discount, and only the one dealership say that Jeep isn't doing it. Still, I'll definitely make sure they verify before I place my order.

Since the dealer that sent me that email is a guy I trust, and he's always been up front, I'd definitely make sure they make contact - check, not just assume because they did it last week that it's still in place. It may be fine, but you could be talking hundreds or more.

I bought my gladiator this morning and was able to use affiliate pricing. I had ordered a jeep back in october and it never came in so I found one on the lot got affiliate pricing plus 1k in customer cash and a 500 dollar military rebate on top of that.

Really? I wonder what's up with that.
Jeep chat just keeps telling me its at the body vendor it has been there since january 4th the dealer I ordered it though hasn't gotten any new information. I asked to just order a new one with less options in february, msrch, and beginning of april they just kept telling me to wait it will be here soon well after 6months I was done waiting. I haven't told them yet though

So that pretty much makes it official. The one dealership was giving me false information. And when I questioned them about the veracity of their claim, they continued to insist that Jeep was not offering affiliate pricing.

I'd try to keep in mind that discount is given by the dealer and they get reimbursed, from the way I understand it. It's not a discount the factory gives the dealer.
Maybe a real dealer can comment on how it works in detail - but if they don't have to plug that number in to FCA when you pick up the truck, and they simply give you the 1% or whatever it works out to be, then they find Jeep isn't honoring it, it's on them.
If they have to plug that number in and see that it's legit and they get the ok, then that's different.

What I'm suggesting is that I have heard it's on and off, you have heard it may not be on......... and the dealer I quoted usually happily does the affiliate thing and even told me how to do it, provided the links and so on.

The dealer needs the control number in order to get reimbursed for the discount

Yeah as long as the dealer gets the control number there should be no issues getting the 1% below invoice on most Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, etc as listed above.

Affiliate pricing is optional for dealerships. They do not have to do it (Jeep cannot make them). Due to the current market, a lot of dealerships are doing affiliate pricing because they know they can sell Jeeps with a mark up.

That being said, a lot of them are still willing to do it. You just have to shop around. My dealership would not do it for anything on the lot, but agreed to do it if I ordered my JT.
I ordered mine on 12-1-21 and took delivery on 1-27-22.
They gave me the Tread Lightly Discount and I had zero issues.
