  1. Cutting and welding differential for caster

Haha no problem and yeah same boat. But at least with the fad u won’t be vibrating in 2wd. But yeah high pinion axle housing kit will be way down the line. But the true fix
  2. Cutting and welding differential for caster

That’s crazy… cause I went with the falcons that are for the 3.5-4.5. Turns out they run the same front shock for the 2-3 inch set. Only the rears change. I still have the stock driveshaft so I could experiment. I know on the rear they had to rotate the axle a little so that the boot wouldn’t...

well aware of the track bar centering side to side. I’m talking front to back which would be the lower control arms. I’ll post my current alignment adjustment that got me at an operating angle in the 7’s. Totally agree with you that rotating the C’s is not a cost efficient method nor very...
  4. Cutting and welding differential for caster

Sorry those are the extended shock lengths. When doing research for a lift, Clayton (CS on the phone) stated I would need an after market CV (double cardan) drive shaft for extreme angles and also the slip for height of the lift. Metal cloak was the same for their 3.5 lift. They even make u...
  5. Cutting and welding differential for caster

Haha. Exactly. Each time I knocked down the caster and improved the operating angle, I thought it was gone. But it was just less and needed a smoother road. Then it would eat at me lol.
  6. Cutting and welding differential for caster

Hence why it’s more fun doing donuts in sand or a snow filled parking lot in 2nd lol

Where at? I’m a fireman/ paramedic that’s covered I80 in Illinois. Sometime yes but usually they are plowed pretty good since we are a southwest suburb
  8. Cutting and welding differential for caster

I’ve agreed to that. I plan on running a caster of 6 when it’s installed. Until then… I would rather sacrifice steering and save my driveshaft. The blah blah blah is important…
  9. Cutting and welding differential for caster

I was racking my brain on the 0° pinion angle. I’ve watched all those videos and even though I’m new to this (June of this year). I learn quickly and try not to put out crappy info. There are people on here that will be quick to judge and act as if you have done no research. They don’t ask...
  10. Cutting and welding differential for caster

Perfect thanks. I’ll update when it’s all done.
  11. Cutting and welding differential for caster

Makes sense. Hopefully the FAD route works out and I can share the cheap easy fix. Thanks for your wisdom man
  12. Cutting and welding differential for caster

That’s good to know if I go that route. Thanks man
  13. Cutting and welding differential for caster

Ballpark what should I expect💰? Cause the FAD actuator should cost 350-450. No downtime either. But cut job is a better fix… decisions.
  14. Cutting and welding differential for caster

You are spot on. Do you think I would be able to wire it to an AUX? I’m a real idiot when it comes to understanding wiring.
  15. Cutting and welding differential for caster

I had the driveshaft (2k miles on a new adams driveshaft) rebalanced and they did add weight. So it’s not out of balance. Does your gladiator have a FAD? Are u running 5.13 gears? Can you elaborate on the bad info? I’m new to this all and trying to figure it out. From everything I’ve...
