checked a few local dealers to me.
Mishawaka, IN- Michiana CDJR- “we only sell Gladiators at MSRP”
Bridgman, MI- Siemens- “I am going to take a pass on taking a loss on a 2020 Jeep Gladiator order, reasoning is we are allocated not many Gladiator's, makes no sense for us to take a loss on a well selling 2020 Popular Model when we are not even in 2020 yet. I would consider an amount over invoice. ”

Yeah, Michiana isn't budging. I tried getting a quote on a JLU before deciding on the Gladiator and they wanted me to come in first. Typical big dealer BS. I liked working with the smaller dealers around the area much better. However, none would match 5% below Invoice like Travis at Tri-City.
An option now might be Bosak in Merrillville. After I already placed my order with Tri-City, Joe Hunt (Digital Sales Manager) emailed me back and said he talked to the new car manager and it might be possible to get down to that. He said it would depend on the build. Wouldn't get too excited, but worth a shot.

If willing to come to MN, I know of a good local dealer. I just for a LE for ~5.5% under and they have another one on the lot (Red color). They also have another Gladiator Rubicon (non-LE) and several overlands and sports. Worked out the pricing ahead of time on email (took 2 emails total), maybe 25 minutes at the dealer to sign everything and be out the door. Great people. Let me know and I can send contact info.

Joe Hunt at Bosak confirmed 5% off invoice but they didn’t offer me what I wanted on my trade-in so I didn’t get as far as seeing the build quote on the Overland I want.

That's good he offered the 5%, but bummer on the trade. A little more hassle, but could maybe sell outright.

Took a while but finally sold my car outright.
Bosak in merrillville did honor the 5% off on my order, but hit me with $125 for wheel locks and $299 for “security guard”, told it was required.
Still ended up the best deal for me. Tried 5-6 other dealers. Mike Clinnin in Buford, GA made a very nice offer though, almost worth the flight.

That's great you were able to sell outright. I'm sure you made out considerably better than dealer trade-in value.
That's unfortunate to hear on the "required" wheel locks and security guard. Another knock against the big dealerships. With that said, you still got a great deal for being close to home. Depending on your build, probably about 4% below invoice after the non-requested add ons. You might make up a little if the doc fee isn't too high.
Did you end up going with an Overland? What color?

Hydro blue overland, manual trans. Blue was my first choice but I did find a dealer in Tennessee willing to do a great trade-in offer on a sport s sting gray manual. It had the minimum options I wanted and color was my second choice, but for a new vehicle, it’s awesome to order it exactly how I want. (I did go for the premium audio and the led package, even though I could have upgraded either of those aftermarket)
Doc fee was $200 at bosak plus the $125 wheel locks and $299 security. I could have saved $400 by going with mike Clinnin, but I would have had to get tread lightly for $100, a flight, $100 in gas, and a 9 hour drive. Think I did just as good ordering closer to home
