There were 96 Wranglers. They were exported YJs. All vehicles 96 and later required airbags. The YJ was not getting them. So they sold YJs here as 95s made until 12/31/95. Normally once September comes, the cars made are all next year's model. If you search overseas, there are 1996 YJs.
