Ended up going with a little less lift so we could keep most everything stock and not compromise the stock ride.
1-1/2" Teraflex Level Kit
Mopar Extended Lower Control Arms
Milestar Patagonia 315 70 17 D8 Tires
We flexed it a little in my friend's yard and around the road ditch to make sure it...
If this is redundant, sorry. My computer did something weird.
I was loading up the tires in my truck this evening and the two I had marked as bad still have about 1.5" of standing water in them after whatever came out during the breakdown. No idea how that much water could get in a tire!
Im not sure since I wasnt there, but it sounds like a lot from talking to one of the guys that runs the shop. My wife said the guy that was working on them came inside to the desk and said “These tires aren’t bad, they’re just full of water”.
Well... I can close the loop on this issue now.
My wife took the takeoffs and the new set of tires to the shop yesterday to have them swapped out. When they broke them off the bead, water went everywhere! Apparently they were full of water! I am surprised they didn't see this when they put the...
 Good stuff, guys!
Id rather check torque myself and alignment doesn't seem to be an issue from my past Jeep experience. But I do appreciate the ideas!
I have to get the wife's Sport leveled and new tires before I put much into the Mojave.
Thanks for this perspective. I think if it weren't for driving my wife's Sport, I wouldn't think my Mojave was Off at all. I actually had my friend drive it back from Shreveport the other day and he said I was crazy! LOL
Update on this.... While I was doing the tire swapping I discussed in another thread, I dropped the tire pressure on my Mojave from 37 to 33 and reset the TPMS with JSCAN. After driving for a couple of days, it is noticeably less "twitchy". Not sure this is the ultimate solution, but it is...
Thanks! Hopefully we are going to be good since I ordered her a new set of 35s yesterday. I know it's best to get wider wheels, but Ive seen a lot of people on here run 35s on stock wheels and she really likes the Rubicon black ones we got. Decided on the Teraflex 1.5" leveling spacers for the...
That is interesting for sure. We did some front to back swapping, but having two that were causing the issue when we did them one-at-a-time really complicates things. Definitely don't know if we ever had the two bad ones on the rear and the two good ones on the front.
I know Ive never swapped...
These are the original Falken 285 70 17 off of a Rubicon. Not sure what is going on. They look fine to me and the tire shop. Maybe when they get pulled off I can inspect the inside and see something.
My wife wanted 35s eventually anyway. This just moved up the time line.
I really appreciate that! Hopefully it's just bad tires, but Im not going to make any assumptions at this point. Im planning to take them to a place that has a road force machine when I get the new tires.
LOL! I know how that works too!
I always seem to have way more complicated issues with my own stuff than what I help other people with. I suspect that it's because people like us that generally fix our own stuff do not recognize the day-to-day challenges as "Issues". We understand it and just...
