I could be wrong, but, as I recall, even in Calif new vehicle is not required a smog test for the first 7 years. So, if I bought a new JTR and then have a AMW 6.4 swap done I would have about 7 years to deal with it before the first required smog test. New JTR is allot $50K + basic 6.4 swap at...
I have been looking for some soft ride springs with about a 2 to 2.5 lift. I now have the Mopar 2 inch lift ones. So far looks like EVO makes a soft ride linier type spring. Does anyone have these? does anyone know of soft springs.
There is a very good place close to me that will powder coat my wheels any way or color that I want and guarantee they will not fade or turn color. Thinking about having the centers done in red. All the anodized wheels red get faded in the sun and look bad.
Been trying to find reliable lift height measurements . Something that is easy and constant. Like front shock mount bolts center to center. Something that takes the body and tires out of the measurements so no measure to the ground. A measurement that will be easy to see what you will have...
Just watched a long U tube of installing a long arm kit with all bolt on brackets. Cut off all factory brackets. I really do like the idea of long arms but not really sold on cutting off all the solid factory brackets and going to all bolt on brackets. Seems like you are asking for pops and...
Returned home after a 9 day off road trip of No Calif BDR. Much rough off road 4x4 roads. Lots of jarring even with 16PSI in the 37s. Cleaning I noticed that both rear door window glass had come out of the track on the rear track. Window worked fine with no damage or noise. If this happens to...
Just wondering what motorhome you are using to tow the beast of a gladiator with and how is it going. Not going a diesel pusher but would like to tow mine to Idaho for vacation on the BDR.
Has anyone ever put a RTT on an ARE fiberglass camper top? I know I would need to use some rails of some type. I am just wondering about the strength of the ARE to hold the weight of the RTT and me. I weigh 175.
I can get an original EZ up for about $150 that I can put up myself. Thinking of trying that over an awning that costs 500+. Just occasionally used. Any thoughts on that.
I finally installed my Synergy track bar and sector shaft brace. Everything is top quality and installed myself alone in a few hours. Had a few challenges and I feel like I spent the day at the gym. 180 foot pounds on the sector shaft nut is not easy. The frame and track bar area is now very...
Has anyone ever used suction cups as attachment points for awning tarps for campers on a temporary basis. Thinking I could use a few of them to attach a tarp to my fiberglass camper as an awning .
I plan on getting an I pad mini for off road mapping. Just wondering what is the best mounting system for it. I have seen 67 Designs and Bullett point. Any others and what one is the best for an I pad mini?
I saw a u tube video of the new 2025 Gladiator with a new Hurricane engine and a much higher tow rating. Is it going to be enough to cause many to trade to the new one? I don't tow but if I did it would be a problem with all my mods. It will surely be faster and more fun to drive.
Just looking for some advice on what people have set the adjustments at on the FOX 2.5 Performance Elite with remote res and DSC adjust . Great shocks with high and low speed adjust. They were tuned by Accutune but still need to do the adjustment on the reservoir.
Being retired with no entanglements I have become smitten with the thought of having some fun with a 392 Wrangler. Just for the fun of it. Not going to do the level of mods I did to my Gladiator and probably won't take it on 4x4 trails that can leave a mark on it. I can't put a V8 in the...
Got to go to the dealer for a re flash and don't want to loose all the settings I have done with the taser mini. This thing seems to have only one way to do it. Loose everything. It's a real PITA to get any info from Z.
If I un marry it all the original factory settings will return and I will...
Has anyone found a shock that controls the rear rebound so that the rear does not po go or float on freeway speed rollers. I have the Mopar 2 inch lift with the 2.5 Fox shocks. Looking for more control in the rear without making it stiff for around town streets.
I just noticed that one of my rear swayer links has become disconnected . I never noticed a ride difference until I reconnected it then the ride actually got worse as it causes the rear tries not to articulate. Just wondering if it can be left disconnected especially when off road? Anyone do it?
