Honestly with everything going on (inflation, supply line breakdowns, etc), I am not certain things are going to get better at all, at least not any time soon. I wouldn't be surprised if many things just stop becoming available all together, or at a minimum just continue to increase in price...
Yeah, I have seen the 3 sizes that Warn makes but heard some people have had issues with rust and stuff. Is that who makes the one you have? Any issues with it at all?
I like the size and look of the one that @bring44 has...wondering which one that is, looks a little like the Mopar one but not...
Ohh are you talking about the entire bumper?? I already have the Mopar steel one (thankfully, haha) - I have been looking for a bolt on bumper hoop that goes over the winch area - did the one you have come with the bumper?
I have not really noticed much of a difference with the cap or even with the tent on top as well. I notice a little at times if its windy, especially with the tent, 2 bikes, and a bed full of gear, but honestly it still seems pretty minimal. Part of that is likely the fact that when I am loaded...
Mine is too tall to fit in my garage with the tent on it as well...I have the Mopar 2" lift and the RSI Smartcap that I mount the tent on. I have a hoist that lifts the tent into the roof of the garage, so I just get another person and lift the tent off the Jeep and set it on 1 set of saw horses...
The rooftop tent question depends in part on what kind of RTT you have. I have a hardshell tent that pops straight up with the release of 4 latches. It takes about 1 minute to set up and does not require any fiddling with poles, rain flys, air mattresses, etc.
Also, the tent has the bedding...
I added an adjustable track bar when I got my Mopar 2" lift just to have the axel centered properly. Seems like its not the end of the world if you don't do that, but I'm happy with my choice to add one...I want everything to work as well as possible. I will probably add adjustable control arms...
I am selling my JT Rubicon suspension as I have recently swapped it out for the Mopar 2in lift - the parts have about 10k miles on them. This includes:
- 4 Rubicon shocks (2 front, 2 rear)
- Front and rear springs
- Spring isolators
- Front and rear sway bar links
- Front control arms
- All...
Like others have said, GooGone works well for getting this off. I have had to do it a few times but it seems to have slowed down now. Last time I had to wipe some off I used a little extra and tried to get up in the seam a little to get out some of the excess (but not TOO much).
I have been...
Yep, that is Lake Como road - it's pretty gnarly once you get to the bigger obstacles...there are 3 or 4 big ones if I remember correctly. I have always parked just below the first big obstacle and hiked the rest of the road, most of the vehicles I have seen make it all the way up to the lake...
Awesome - I work from home and can occasionally do some mid-day stuff. I'm planning to knock out quite a few 14ers this summer so weekends will be hit or miss, but would love to do some off-road camping type trips as well. There are a few 14ers that have some fun jeep trails to the upper...
