  1. Another farewell post, LOL!

Not forever but for now. I love my jeep but realistically towing with it is fine but we need more room on the inside for everyone to ride comfortably, pets and people for when we pull the camper. I really just like to say I'm gonna miss the forum in general and I've made some friends local and...
  2. Drop in Bed Liner over Bed lined truck bed!

Will I have any issues doing this. My bed was bedlined by the dealership and they didn't do a great job with it. Plus from me hauling cleaning equipment back there it's starting to look rough after 4+ years. I found a drop in liner on marketplace for $80 and talked him down to $50. Looks like...
  3. $340 to do the coil packs and spark plugs

Dealership wanted $500 to do it. Got everything for $240 from advance auto and a guy is gonna throw them in for $100 on Thursday Morning. Does that seem like a pretty good deal. It's more work than I'd like to tackle and I need it done before we leave out on Friday to tow our camper to the...
  4. Glove Box Lock

I'm finally getting around to fixing this issue. Last October someone tried to break into my glove box at a race I was at and broke the latch off my glove box. I had nothing of importance in it so I haven't really messed with it but found a replacement for $100 on eBay so I decided to get the...
  5. Bought a bigger camper

So we ended up pulling our Grand Design 18bh once and it was just a little to small for 2 adults 2 grandkids and 3 dogs, especially when my parents came to our campsite and hung out for a couple hours. It was 4200lbs dry and about 4800 lbs with all our stuff loaded in it. We ended buying a Grand...
  6. Tire tread Life

I got a gauge and I think this guy did this the wrong way but would you pay $400 for these. Falken Wildpeak 255/80/17 , he was asking $600 but said he would take $400 for them.. I gonna use them when I tow our camper instead of doing it with the 37's. We are trading in our 4200 lb Grand Design...
  7. Oil Changes

So I used my last free oil change today an inquired about the price of the oil change package at my dealership. So it's like $115 for a tire rotation and oil change at the dealership. They don't do a six oil change package anymore like I had when I purchased mine. But they do got a three oil...
  8. Anyone use Haul Gauge for weighing?

Watched a few YouTube videos on it. We are looking at getting a bigger camper after buying a smaller one in December. The new one we are looking at is about 1800lbs more and I'd like to be able to weigh it on the fly instead of scaling it every time. Anyone got experience with this product.
  9. Good tire for towing

The tires I got 37 12.5 17 Geolander X-ATs did great but I'm going to go to a smaller tire for towing our camper because I'm about to buy a bigger one. Gonna drop to a 285/70/17 on the stock steelies to try to compensate for some of the power lose with the 37's. Gonna just have the shop up the...
  10. Towed our Camper for the first Time!

So we finally towed our camper we bought back in December. We did a weekend at Pirateland in Myrtle Beach. It was roughly 360 mile round trip. Made some mistakes getting setup at campground but towing was a breeze. Learned a lot about what not to do and found the sweet spot with the brake...
  11. It Happened, Camper has been purchased!!!

We bought our first camper today, a Grand Design Imagine 18BH, Dry weight of 4086lbs. I must say the JT Max Tow handled the pull like a boss. I might look into different shocks because I can tell the Rubicon Fox shocks aren't setup for towing because I did feel a little bounce on a few bumps...
  12. Brake controller

I'm new to the pulling a camper life. The wife and I are about to pull the trigger on a small camper and am looking for advice and tips. Mostly the brake controller thing. The sales man I spoke to on the phone said my Gladiator may or may not need new diodes to install the brake controller but...
  13. Broken latch on Glove Box

Had a race yesterday and a buddy of mine who rode up with me forgot to lock my rear passenger door and someone decided to get in my jeep and steal my debit card out of my wallet and try to break into my glove box. I always have it and the middle console locked so I guess they thought it they...
  14. Discount Tire Installation quote

I got a chat quote from a representative for Discount a few minutes ago for $88+ tax to get 4 37 12.5 17 tires installed mounted and balanced. Seems low to me but the guy assured me that was the correct price. Could @Discount Tire confirm this for me. He emailed me our conversation and I took...
  15. Good steps / nice concept, pricing way off?

I've been looking at a step to go with my rubi rails because well, I'm a fan of the rubi rails. I was looking for something easily removed and these hit the mark other than the price point. I mean are they crazy or something charging a price like this for these or am I crazy. Almost a $1000 to...
  16. Mpg's way off?

Man I sat in a drive through for like 40 freakin minutes today and now my MPGs are way off. I might have to get rid of this JT now. Any thoughts? I'm crushed! Running 37 12.5 17 kanati trail hogs with 3-1/4 inches of lift, a few add ONS, Max tow what gives. I normally average 17+
  17. Tailgate latch broken

Well I went to open my tailgate this morning to grab my stuff for work out of the back and I think the latch on the driver's side is broken or needs to be fixed, the tailgate will not open. I could fix more than likely but the problem I got is I have a tri-fold cover and I cannot access the...
  18. Katzkin Installed

Well got my seats done up today. Couldn't pick it up until after dark because of other commitments but I took some night pictures of it. Absolutely lovin' them. I got the black with olive wings and Olive stitching, that's as close as I could come color wise to matching the gator. I'll take some...
  19. Katzkin sale, $200 off

Just thought I'd post that Katzkin has $200 off their custom leather. I was quoted $1925 total for what I put together with install and taxes. Might be worth a look, 0% financing
  20. Doing truck stuff in a Jeep!!!!!

This is what I bought it for and what I use it for. Just a plus that the doors and top come off and it's pretty solid if I do want to hit up a trail. Couldn't do this stuff in my old JKU, miss it but love this JT for what you can do with it.
