@Steven_B
Could you share your wheel offset and if you have any spacers? Iāve got the same lift on the sport s diesel and want to make sure I donāt have rubbing when steering when I get 37ās. Im hoping to get a +0 to +25mm offset so I donāt have too much tire sticking out spraying rocks at my...
@ShadowsPapa
That is a lot to dissect and I appreciate the help. I had a feeling there could be more to this.
I wish I could have you come drive it to see what you thought.
The issue didnāt become apparent to me until well after the lift was installed and I had finally corrected the toe issue...
Hey Jeep peeps, please bear with me, as there is some back story that will help put my current issue in context.
Last summer, I installed the AEV overland 2.5 inch lift on my '22 JT Sport S Diesel. I did the install myself, and we love the feel and ride. However, I made a mistake that night...
@BumbleBee and @OHJeeper I understood what you guys meant, the original video I saw was done on a JTR and it was a well done video, apart from the misinformation. Not only does he say to do the rear the video shows him measuring the front of the rear tires. I hesitate to put it on here for you...
@Lunentucker
That video was very helpful, especially in comparison to the video I originally watched which I double checked, and has the guy comparing the fronte and rear tires. I shouldāve been able to figure that out.
@OHJeeper thanks for the tool suggestion! Iām gonna use a lug on the...
The lift came with caster correction brackets that mounted to the front control arms.
Iāll try a tool for better measurements. Now that Iām thinking about this more wouldnāt it also make sense to measure between the front wheels on the front and back of them? Too much or too little toe should...
A few months ago I installed the AEV 2.5 suspension lift on my ā22 Sport S Diesel. After a long day rolling around on the floor, the last step was to correct the steering wheel which after installation of the lift is turned to the left slightly when the wheels are straight.
I did my best , or...
Well I survived the install. The torquing was rough! Had no issues and followed the tips I found on here. One other tip I came up with was installing the front bump stop extenders simultaneously with the front coil. That allowed the extra 4 inches or so of clearance for the longer coil. Took me...
thank you, I was actually wondering about that since the instructions mention the different thread pitch but donāt say what to do about it.
I went through the list on the bag and every step in the instructions. I have everything in the bag and an extra washer that has JLX stamped on it. Itās...
This might be asking a lot, but does anyone know the list of hardware that is supposed to be in the bag? It seems the number one tip on several write ups is to make sure all the hardware is correct. But I don't know what to compare it against before I have things taken apart. I am going to...
good info.
Are you on the AEV or Mopar?
Is one better than the other for around town ride quality? My biggest disappointment with this truck has been the stock suspension hitting front bump stops way too easily on road driving. Itās a bit bouncy. So Iām hoping the kit will help with that too.
Is there a concern as far as safety/functionality goes with the AEV dual sport lift on 33s? Is the only issue less clearance and looking like tiny tires? The goal would to be eventually put 35s or 37s on but can I do the lift with 33s until then without problems?
Did you have any luck finding anything? Iām looking to do the same. Sport diesel with 33s. My tires just have way too much life left to replace them but Iām tired of waiting for the lift.
I had a 2007 Tacoma that I bought from the original owner in 2015. It had 44k on it. I did all the work on it myself and enjoyed doing it. It was a manual transmission and I really had to wind it up to feel like it had any power. After I sold it for the second kid I dreamt of the new TRD Pro. I...
