I went with the Grimm Offroad solution. Places my ARB Dual Compressor inside the driver fender, just under the brake booster assembly: Engine Bay Compressor Mounting Bracket (Grimm Offroad)
I have been looking into their system, as well. My understanding, thus far, is that crossmember comprises the largest component of the additional weight of their system. I am stilll open to all options, and weighing the "pros" (strength) and "cons" (weight) of each system.
I cannot wait to see...
I don’t think any of us was expecting Die Hard, but we stuck together and dragged each other through it.
I will look into those Rock Hard skids, for sure! I don’t believe I hit any of those points this time out, but it only takes one rock to break something.
I am looking at armor plates...
Friends, after scraping my way across a double black diamond trail in Arizona I did a review of the armor I have installed on my truck. Topics of discussion include:
ACE Engineering sliders
Rusty’s Offroad sliders
Rusty’s Offroad skids
Next Venture skids
Let me know if you have any questions...
We started on Table Mesa Road and took a wrong turn... Ended up on some trail called "Die Hard". Two hours and one mile in we came to an obstacle we couldn't cross so we had to turn back. I was literally dragging my skids the entire time. Got high centered three or four times. Had to get yanked...
For your consideration! I wheeled too hard last weekend and all of my armor was taxed. The Rusty’s bed sliders did their job extremely well, and the bolts were a non-issue. Very highly recommended!
Thank you, sir! All of my parts are listed in the first post of this thread. The body sliders are from ACE Engineering (https://aceengineeringandfab.com/products/ace-jt-gladiator-rock-sliders) and the bed sliders are from Rusty's Offroad...
