  1. WOW - What an IMPACT !

Has that bauer been a good impact for you? I have a lot of basic harbor freight tools but I'm hesitant to make a power tool purchase. Sorry I don't have an answer for a battery operated impact. Seems most people point to the $300 range and for minimal usage I felt my money was better off spent...
  2. Help identify item that fell from windshield

This fell onto the driver side dash this morning while driving. I have never lowered the windshield or attempted to. The item is a square clear plastic with a black sticky backing.
  3. Tire change on interstate

What you do? The handful of times I had a flat along the interstate I pulled over and changed it. A young person that I know was just killed while fixing a tire on the interstate. The car was fully on the shoulder and the tire happened to be on the shoulder side. He was rear ended. Changing a...
  4. 2021 main battery replaced under warranty 24k miles

Truck would not start this morning. I jumped it and drove the dealership. Dealership put the aux battery through a load test and it passed. The main battery tested second and it did not pass. A new main battery was installed. I wish they would replace both with all of the aux battery issues I...
  5. [CLOSED] WINNER ANNOUNCED: DIY Windshield Protection Film Giveaway -- ExoShield ULTRA

One and I assume many more to go considering what I read on the forums.
  6. Rare colors

Granite crystal that identifies as gecko here. Once that lotto money hits I will have a stable of limited edition colors.
  7. Rubicon Wildpeak realistic mileage

I forgot to mention that I’m looking at all terrain tires. I always assumed you generally get more miles out of an all terrain then a mud tire.
  8. Rubicon Wildpeak realistic mileage

I need to replace the original mud tires on my Willys and found a set of rubicon take offs with 20k miles, no patches, no plugs $300. Could I expect to get another 20k-30k miles out of them? That would hold me over for another couple of years. The ones I’m looking at are the all terrain...
  9. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Installed new to me zeon 10s on Mopar steel bumper with warn winch plate and warn power interrupt kit. Took me slightly longer then the you tube step by step installs. Like all day. Most time spent with being paranoid about the route of power and ground from the winch through the engine bay...
  10. help with warn interrupt in cab rocker switch install

Thanks guys. Nuts, bolts, and JScan are a snap so far for me. First time messing with wiring.
  11. help with warn interrupt in cab rocker switch install

Just to be sure. There would be no problem if I only connected the red wire to the new harness. There is no requirement to use the brown screw terminal at all as long as the rocker switch gets grounded to the frame with the supplied black wire.
  12. help with warn interrupt in cab rocker switch install

Thanks. The black that is supplied is crimped with a washer connection to attach to a grounding terminal on the frame. I can just cut that crimp off and splice it with the red red into the screw terminals.
  13. help with warn interrupt in cab rocker switch install

This? if so where/how does my red wire from rocker tap into it? https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/12-volt-power-adapter-jeep-wrangler-tj-jk-jl-jt?gclid=CjwKCAiAwomeBhBWEiwAM43YIOKaTqKxXrn_oaa0N8ei0WUcNNMRpC8k7pS1KW-MffzjOT1nGzPfwhoCxd0QAvD_BwE
  14. help with warn interrupt in cab rocker switch install

The warn power interrupt kit comes with a rocker switch to install in the cab. The rocker switch has a long yellow wire that installs on the solenoid, a black wire for grounding, and a red wire to be spliced to an "hot wire from ignition". Everything looks straight forward for a novice such as...
  15. Second hand which testing

Beer budget with a champagne taste guy. I found a used warn zeon 10s on a marketplace for $800. That’s roughly half retail and top end of my budget considering I also need to buy a winch plate and interrupt kit. Also a full day trip to meet seller involved. Seller says it was installed for four...
  16. Warn power interrupt kit - switch question

I carry a couple of those blue furniture blankets from harbor freight. They are useful in so many situations. I figure they would be of sufficient weight for a winch line.
  17. Warn power interrupt kit - switch question

Yes the switch I’m referring to is the rocker switch. Harbor apex winch I believe comes with an interrupt kit of sort.I don’t see any other winches that pack one in box. Aux switches are on the short list but I figure getting the winch first is more important then the nice aux switch for tie in...
  18. Warn power interrupt kit - switch question

I’m getting close to emptying my pockets on a superwinch, warn winch plate for Mopar steel bumper, and warn interrupt kit. My goal is to leave the interrupt switch under the hood. Once I build funds back up I will add aux switches 6-12 months down the road. Which I could then wire into the kit...
  19. Proximity door locks retrofit on Wrangler/Gladiator, someone figured it out (DIY writeup)

Added this to the drivers side today as a Christmas present for myself. Very nice video in the thread made this simple. Programmed with jscan and it works! I have not seen any changes in my 8.4 screen settings yet but maybe the truck needs to set a bit for the system to fully reset. I did active...
  20. Willys suspension vs Rubicon suspension

The rubicon take offs I used came from a gas, hardtop, with factory steel front bumper. If the trucks come with springs that are specific to weight on factory builds then the springs I used should be “stiffer/taller” than anything other than a diesel. I gained very little lift up front. I have...
