  1. Leaking coolant at reservoir

Looks like I have coolant leak showing up at the reservoir/hose connection. Not 100% show though as maybe the reservoir is cracked and that’s just the point where the liquid gathers to drip.
  2. Just went down a size 33 to 32…..who does that

I would assume none of us bought the truck for mpg reasons. I personally would like to get the best performance for my intended purpose. Occasional small load hauling, occasional use of doors/top off, occasional use off pavement, majority of life spent highway commuting.
  3. Just went down a size 33 to 32…..who does that

Agree they do look a bit on the thin side. As I have gotten older I just don't seem to care much anymore about aesthetics. I mean 20 years ago the pot belly I have developed did not exist. So far since the change I do get a sense that the jeep is rolling "easier". The 285/70/17 hit mpg by...
  4. Just went down a size 33 to 32…..who does that

I might be the first Jeep owner to downsize back to factory size tires. Changing out my worn 285/70/17 Wildpeak a/t take offs back to Willy’s factory 255/75/17. Figured with the weight I have added with steel bumpers, winch plate, winch, recovery gear and tools acquired over time it makes sense...
  5. Whats is your opinion the jeeps engine stop start system?

You know I thought politics and religion were the ultimate divider of people. Turns out ess fits right in there.
  6. Whats is your opinion the jeeps engine stop start system?

I feel like an idiot when I consider the amount of money spent on add ons to this truck and caravan is nice enough to send me an email each month letting me know how much less my truck is worth.
  7. Whats is your opinion the jeeps engine stop start system?

I agree with these very quick stop and go situations and the ess kicking in is annoying.
  8. Whats is your opinion the jeeps engine stop start system?

March of 2023 my 2021 was dead in the drive way. I have a decent commute and drive daily. The only warning sign I had was the ess had stopped working, the cluster message said not ready. I jumped the truck and let the dealership work on it as I was still under warranty. Aux battery tested fine...
  9. Looking for help with differential dyi service

Never serviced a differential myself. I’m looking at front and rear differential covers. I want to add some armor without adding a skid plate. What should I be doing besides pulling off cover, replacing with new cover, and fluid refill? I have seen some people using chemicals for cleaning out...
  10. Please confirm OEM Mopar Steel Front Bumper and Steel Skid Plate...

I think the holes on the skid plate we had to ream out a bit might be due to the winch plate. Thinking about it now as it’s been some time, the skid plate holes lined up just fine before I installed the winch plate and winch. I’ve had the bumper and skid plate on about a year before the winch...
  11. Please confirm OEM Mopar Steel Front Bumper and Steel Skid Plate...

Worked for my Willy’s. The steel bumper and skid plate off a 392. I did need to use a metal file on some of the skid plate bolt holes. I filed by hand which did not take long, just needed a little bit removed.
  12. Changes to BOH

Uh I was headed to hot springs next month in hopes to get snake and quartz canyon. My badge of honor app still has them listed. This is actually very disappointing for me. As you can see from my boh app screenshot there are no boh trails any where near me. Hot Springs was my best shot. To add...
  13. Firestone Destination AT2 thoughts?

Sounds like you felt pretty confident in the tires.
  14. Firestone Destination AT2 thoughts?

I have not seen any threads about these tires. They are a mid range tire, around $250 each for 285/70/17. I'm mostly concerned about how they would hold up to sharp rocks. The forestry service roads I frequent sometimes will get a fresh cover of rocks for maintenance. Some of these rocks get...
  15. Where is the aux battery?

Just saw this as I had the same issue. The cover would not sit flush due to the terminal cables laying on top of the aux battery, created a bulge. Did you ever get your tray to sit flush?
  16. Aux battery replacement - cover for aux battery not flush

No it’s the right way, it cannot be reversed. The issue is the cables going to aux battery terminals lay across the aux battery and their thickness is not letting the cover lay perfectly flat. There is not enough slack in the cables to change their routing. I think the replacement battery is...
  17. Synergy two inch front springs installed

If it’s settled it’s not noticeable. The springs are now paired with bilstein 5100’s and everything is nice and firm. Zero feeling of bottoming out on say a speed bump. I’m not sure what plays the role there, the springs or shocks. I’m super happy with the setup.
  18. Aux battery replacement - cover for aux battery not flush

I swapped out my aux battery and main battery today due to “avengers” start/stop service light. Also the truck is hitting year four and I felt new batteries are a worth while investment. I changed the aux battery by going in trough the top. I could not for the life of me get the aux battery...
  19. Shock length for “tweener” amount of lift

Good info thanks. I measure at 21.5 which is closest to the 2-3 middle measurement.
