I 2nd what Kevin (the Author) has previously stated and I add that it also inhibits the ability to attach a waterslide to the front of the vehicle, because you clearly have a predisposition for clown cars if you put this on your Jeep!

Those look like rubber expansion nuts. I would bet you just push it through and keep pressure against the plate as you tighten each corner equally. Google expansion nut.

Over windshield lights...fitment was a little tricky, but overall pretty happy with the results. I put them on a wireless fob also.
