As someone whose 2021 max tow is currently at the dealer for a check engine light (misfire) at just under 30k miles I recommend the GX460 model.

why : how would a mechanical issue manifest itself and then completely disappear?

did you keep it after they fixed it? To me, a sensor or electronic issue is more forgivable than a mechanical failure. If mine needs open heart surgery I’m not sure how I’ll feel about trying to keep it long term.
