  1. Nobody waves anymore.

I live I Dallas…jeeps…specifically wranglers… are ubiquitous here…lots of unmodded unlimiteds driven by soccer moms….lots of modded ones driven by teenagers. I wave at other gladiators…they all wave back. I wave at most wranglers too…maybe 50% wave back.
  2. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Bolted on some Rb20 running boards for the kids…I think I put them on the wrong side…apparently the fat end goes forward…not sure if it’s worth switching them.
  3. Looking for recommendations for a shop in DFW.

Has anyone used Forest Lane CDJR for service or maintenance? I am at ~2800 miles and will probably do the first oil change at 3000ish.
  4. Is this what bad frame welds look like?

That’s all fine and good…not looking for ā€œpatinaā€ at 2 months though.
  5. Anyone in North Texas that will permit an order for a 2022 model without "hidden fees"?

I live in Dallas…after trying to deal with 3 or 4 local dealers with experiences that ranged from meh to terrible I ordered from Guton and saved ~5k off sticker. Nobody in dfw would come close. Well worth the $200 flight, $50 Uber, and full day drive home.
  6. Is this what bad frame welds look like?

Or is this something I just hit with a wire brush and rustoleum? What’s the best color of spray paint to use on the frame of my new 50k vehicle? These aren’t the only spots. Do I get to look forward to the entire frame looking like this after a few more months?
  7. Who has the lowest mileage on their JT?

What’s wrong with it? I swear betweeen the jeep reputation for unreliability and this forum I am thinking of trading my 1750 mile Oct 2021 build gladiator In For a taco or a 4 runner. I might make money on the deal. Here’s to hoping the new car smell wears off before I get a leaking main seal...
  8. Door closing onomatopoeia

Not super worried about it…just thought I’d ask to see how common it might be…never owned a Jeep before, also never experienced this on any other vehicle I have owned rented or borrrowed. As long as the door shuts and doesn’t leak or fly open I’ll most likely just live with it.
  9. Door closing onomatopoeia

I think yesterday was the start of another 14 game winning streak!
  10. Door closing onomatopoeia

Proud gladiator owner for 1 month and 1200 miles. 3 of my doors make a normal sound when I close them…kind of a muffled ā€œschmunk.ā€ The driver side rear door makes more a deeper, louder ā€œthunkā€ that has a sort of hollow reverberation. It might take just a hair more force to shut it, but not...
  11. The Philistine thread - non-lifted Gladiators and not likely to be, either

Only had the gladiator a few weeks. I ordered the max tow option specifically so I could go with bigger tires without a re gear but after driving it for a few weeks I’m kind of liking the 21-23 mpg I’m getting on the highway so I might just leave it as is. It looks like the 2ā€ suspension lift...

1st Jeep. Previously owned an 86 suburban, 92 big bronco, 96 big bronco, ā€˜04 outback. I like go anywhere do anything vehicles and this thing seems to fit the bill.
  13. Took Delivery of Your JT? Sign in Here!

  14. Took Delivery of Your JT? Sign in Here!

Picked up JT sport S Max Tow at Gupton on 11/11 and drove it home to Texas. Now trying to figure out how to improve the breakover without killing the fuel economy…the cab sits up really high for as low as the belly is. Kind of has the profile of a 1950 chevy.
