Its funny, the dealership I bought mine from only has about 3 on the lot at a time but seems to be moving them pretty easily. They don't do the dealer markup crap like some around here do, so that probably helps.
Was getting the AUX switches not available message at startup and ESS hadn't worked for months, so I decided it was time to change batteries. I swapped in a new H7 with one that had 150 more CCA and changed out the AUX14 battery to a ES-TX14 AGM powersports battery with the same size and CCA...
22,500 miles here. Had a wire for the DEF sensor melt against the exhaust manifold at 6k miles and got the DEF flash at 14k miles. No other issues so far.
I thought FCA said something about never pairing that engine with a manual because the 3.0 was a relatively long stroke engine, and lugging it would be real hard on it.
I always find it funny how everybody talks about the smiles per mile and how if you were worried about how efficient and practical a Jeep is, you shouldn't be driving a Jeep. Same thing with the 392 Jeeps and the 5.7 swapped Jeeps. But once the EcoDiesel is mentioned, everybody turns into an...
That may have more to do with options than engine choice. Mine is an overland diesel with the regular bumpers and minivan tires, and I have 1212 lbs of capacity.
I always thought the reason the went the torque-limiting route, was because they were right near the torque limit of the manual transmission. The clutch had a designed torque limit that was the same as or a little less than the transmissions torque limit. The clutch is working as a safety to...

They also make ones that only use one hole, but I probably wouldn't use those for...
Ok, I'll give this a go.
1. Once you mod a Jeep past a certain point, it's not really a Jeep anymore. It is just a buggy that you chose to use a Jeep cab on.
2. The Ecodiesel is the rightful successor to the 4.0 Litre engine.
3. I don't care how much some people want it, the 5.7 should never...
Here is mine after a 3 hour drive to St. Louis. 5% City Traffic/45% Interstate/50% State Highway
This was after a 35ish mile stretch of the state highway before I got on the interstate.
