I have had the the Milwaukee M18 high-torque impact (2767) for 3-4 years and it is awesome. However, I'm finding that the Gen-3 Compact impact gets more use than the high-torque. It also lives in the toolbag under my backseat.
I have Spidertrax spacers on my Gladiator and fully believe that they are stronger than my cast aluminum. I'm confident that an OEM part or the wheel would fail before the spacer. I went this route because I didn't want the weight or expense of a true beadlock and couldn't find anything else...
Thanks man! I haven't updated my build thread for a while - since then I drove without a rear sway bar for about six months - including towing a trailer full of dirt bikes to Moab and back - before deciding to get the rear antirock. The rear antirock is a game changer. The truck handles so well...
I have the rock jock kit on my Gladiator. Started with just the control arms, springs, etc, and fox 2.0 shocks. Eventually upgraded to fox 2.5 and the anti rocks front and rear. I don’t think they had the rear yet when I got the lift. Been running it since Sept 2020 and it had been great. No...
Like several others, I ripped out the upper sway bar link mounts on the frame. I ran no rear sway bar (with an anti-rock front) for about six months and then put a rear anti-rock on. (the rear anti-rock has a similar rate to the oem sway bar, the front anti-rock is much softer than oem).
What...
You’re getting this much travel with 2” bumpstop spacers and limit straps? I’m running the same length 2.5s as you, but no air bumps. I have 1 inch spacers and currently have no limit straps (rock jocks new rear springs are long enough) so I’m very close to getting the full travel out of the...
I've been pretty pleased with my 2.5s so far - but I have a 3.6L and have kept things fairly light. I did buy the rears 'tuned' from accutune. The fronts I did not as they quoted me up to 6 months to get in stock; the fronts are the base tune. I do have both high and low speed clickers at least...
I have Baja Designs squadron SAEs wired to my OEM fog light harness and they work fine. I don’t have the LED package and I bet the OEMs drew more power than the BDs.
if I remember right, the stock bulbs are 24W and the BDs are 22W. Squadron Pros are 40W and might need better wiring. I have Pros...
Apex Chassis makes the TRE's that come with the RPM kit, and they also sell their own kits. Apex offers anodized black aluminum and steel options too. I went with Steel because I didn't want polished and they are less expensive. Both Apex and RPM are great companies with great customer service.
I carry my bike in the same way you describe, strapped to pegs corner to corner, bike diagonal. I can get the tailgate halfway up with just one bike. Here is a pic of 2x KTM 300s. There’s enough room for gas, stands and ramp in the back, but not gear bags.
I still don’t have a winch in mine … Rebel Off Road Summit bumper. I put 2 gallons of milk in there on the way home from the grocery store to make myself feel better. ?
