Armor to consider for the future:

or any number of cast or plate replacement front diff covers.
Wondering if these modern thin line Tron style lights everyone seems to be moving to are as visible from a distance through fog compared to something with a big solid block of light.
That's where the manual transmission clutch stuff goes through. I wish there were a few more places to run wires through the firewall. But I was also referring to the dash board, where I'd like to see places to run wire from below to above the dash.
Raised tire pressures to carry the extra load of the trailer hitch weight plus any cargo all at highway speed in summer heat. Touch the tires and compare front to back. If the back is noticeably warmer, add air.
LT-E tires and Bilstein shocks for tighter handling. A single Moab and Colorado...
The Alpine system PLUS upgraded dash and soundbar speakers does work pretty well, though. And the speakers are easy to upgrade, except the knee speakers, which can nevertheless handle full Alpine amp output.
17MPG with a fold-down camping trailer, approx 2000lb. Probably mostly just to a smaller frontal area. I think the manual may have a rating for frontal area of the trailer.
Wonder if they could get a lower trailer?
Got some upgraded speakers from them. Came with little connector harnesses. Worked great, better sound, easy to do. Only dealt with the website, not any humans. Good and accurate info.
Start with speakers. Gets rid of the midrange-heavy boxy sound.
Dash upgrade matters the most, the overhead smaller ones add a bit, and the overhead larger ones may as well have been left alone. The overhead is mostly a bit of fill unless you mess with the fader. Maybe upgrade the larger ones if you like blasting things near full volume.
The knee speaker...
I'm using halogen headlights (we get snow), amber LED fogs, and small 2x1 white driving/combo lights on the bumper, wired to the high beams. And some rock lights facing sideways from the cowl to help read campground site markers and such at night. May upgrade those to D&C Lucid lights.

Wondering what fraction of the swap time was taken up by the larger radiator and associated adjustments? For example could the total swap time be 1/3 less if using the stock radiator?
7" display gives me nothing but tunes and phone calls! And the Garmin RV nav is better than our other vehicle's Uconnect nav.
Anyhow, we used to use a weather radio at the house. Even with our location code entered, we'd get weather alerts from all over the region. When a front comes through...
Once with a different truck was pulling the camping trailer, saw a cool scenic overlook, hit the brakes, and sailed right past the turn out. Turns out the trailer brake controller wasn't turned up enough. On that trailer I can crank the controller to the max and it still won't skid on...
Tight trail switchbacks on rock.
But don't overload the diff because now it's only one diff pulling 2.73 or 4 times as much torque.. So maybe don't power a heavy load uphill in 2-low with lots of throttle.
And the aluminum housing which allows for cheap replacement of the modules for $20 each?!
I suppose the housing could have been plastic to save some money, though.
