  1. How are you using your Trail Rail System?

(Wow, in a bad head-on some of these jacks look like they will become instant death for the driver!)
  2. Overland tire load rating

No matter what you get, know that you may have to increase tire pressure if you change to a heavier load. I.e. going to the store tire pressure may not be enough when loaded for cross country travel plus a trailer hitched up. And stiffer tires can be better for trailer towing, and for...
  3. 2022 AEV Gladiator Rubicon build

Don't know when that change occurred. I'd be more interested to know which seals the Dorman unit uses, whether they've updated their design.

  5. 2022 AEV Gladiator Rubicon build

Maybe consider the updated Mopar oil cooler filter housing with the better seal design, instead of the Dorman aluminum unit. Unless the Dorman has been updated as well...
  6. Recall I said "those lockers in my wife's JLU will NEVER...........

Found a place in Indiana where just doing the speed limit you can almost catch air off the hill. When possible, I love getting off the interstate and doing the local roads or state highways through places like Iowa, Nebraska, etc.
  7. Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT issues

Last year had similar cracks on some Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires which were at only 2000 miles or so. Multiple tires. Something happened during manufacture. Got warranty for the three with issues. Swapped them all out for something else. Hope they get their act together some day soon. Nice...
  8. Knee Speaker change out.......Keep the OE set up

Maybe try the original pods with aftermarket 4" speakers?
  9. BF Goodrich KO3s - a comment

    Drafting the whole way!!!
  10. Durable, LED aftermarket taillights for 2020 Jeep Gladiator

Along with the above Rugged Ridge, another option: https://combat-offroad.com/products/tail-gunner-tail-lights-jeep-jt Either of these take off the shelf truck lights, easily replaced for cheap if there are problems. DOT certified, too. Not sure how effective the reverse is for either of...
  11. Replacement Amber LED fog bulbs

Big fan of amber in general. Harder for people not to notice you coming. Did the film over halogen for a while. Sufficient as a fog light to see the pavement markers and lets people see you coming better. But a pain to replace the bulb every now and then. Moved to Baja Design SAE fogs...
  12. Engine and manual transmission break in

I wouldn't give up yet. Did you do a break-in procedure yet? Full power bursts at mid RPM.
  13. Pros and con between wire rope and synthetic rope

I use a More Power Puller, big hand winch. An almost 30-year old one with a steel cable. Still good, but it only gets out every now and then. Weight would be a concern if I had a full spool on the front of a truck, but for the hand winch the weight difference wouldn't be much. Steel may be...
  14. Engine and manual transmission break in

Keep going! Maybe break it in a bit more with full throttle 3000 to 4000 RPM bursts. Tire size?
  15. Full belly aluminum skid plate comparison

Several brands have solid cross braces in front of the exhaust crossover.
  16. ARE CX Classic Installed (MattK)

The truck with the cap makes me wish they offered a JT-length SUV version.
  17. GMRS

Another thing about 15W vs 50W is the radiation you absorb from your own transmission, especially if the antenna is fairly close. This probably only matters if you are holding long conversations day after day, though. A little quarter wave may work better in mountains because the other party...
  18. GMRS

Some advocate for channel 16 (4x4) for offroad emergencies. In reality I just leave it on scan because there is no standard and someone in trouble probably won't think about moving to this or that channel. If someone is calling several times chances are good I'll hear them on scan.
  19. LiteBrite: AMW visit V8 ordered from Jeep?

Can the diffs handle the torque?
  20. Clunking at slow speeds while going over bumps. Could one these be the culprit?

Could be more than one thing loose. Also check shock bolts. Maybe bounce the bumper up and down to check.
