Anyone with personal experience suggest a good shop in Maryland, preferably near DC metro area, for installing 5.13s in my JT Rubicon?
Thanks for your time
2020 JTR came with stock wheels. I wanted black wheels. I rattle canned the silver strips with satin black after scotch brighting the clear coat on that portion of the wheels. No matter what the lighting source and no matter how closely I inspect, the painted sections are indistinguishable from...
Four of my five “pigs” watching as number 5 and I load into the Jeep to travel for a long hike. Don’t worry, the rest of the crew rotates through their morning hikes as well. No dog gets neglected and my old fat arse logs many daily miles in the various parks in our vicinity.
The new guy. After losing Flapjack, 115 pound Akbash/Great Pyrenees mix, two weeks ago to a heart attack, Blue joined our 4 dog pack. He’s a 106 pound Pit/Husky mix, 13 months old. Great with people, high energy, ball mongering, zoomie running, couch burrowing lunatic.
Roger that. Looking at the side view of that 2 door, with the bed extending further rearward from the rear axle, made me think how poor a crawler it might be with that lousy departure angle. Still, it looks cool and I respect the execution on the build.
I’ve got Thinskinz on my rear doors. Don’t know if they make them for the front doors. If not, how about helicopter tape or griptape? Just a thought.
I’ve got a set of the previous iteration, ACE Fabrication, on my 2020 JTR. A number of folks have expressed hesitancy with dealing with the body mount bolts. I’m a poor mechanic at best. A breaker bar and battery powered DeWalt impact driver had the 6 bolts removed in less than 10 minutes...
If it's snake oil, then I am a rube. I installed one 4 months ago. I have noticed no difference in engine sounds or performance. I fell for the claim that, at start up, the Baxter system keeps oil in the top half of the engine is designed to avoid dry starts and should help avoid premature valve...
Nay. Put a cap on the bed. Put a bed rug in the bed. Get a cap with side slider windows. Remove the window screens and install nylon webbing in its place to keep your dog(s) contained. I’m old. I live with 4 and have always had 3 to 6 rescue dogs. 23 dogs over my lifetime have tutored me on how...
Mind if I ask how you wired your radio for power? Through an auxiliary switch or directly to the battery? What route did you use from the radio to power?
