My tonneau cover came mounted with the cargo rails in place. The tonneau cover mounting points sit above the cargo rails and do not interfere with the operation of the cargo rails. Hope this answers your question.

I agree. I remove it before wheeling and, so far, have not forgotten to reinstall. The fact that about 20% of my neighbors are county cops helps to motivate me to remember to reinstall!
