You won't notice enough change to the 4.56 from 4.10's. I did 5.13's but I'm running 37's now as well. If you're sticking to the 35's I'd go to 4.88. I had 35's for a while with the 5.13's and it was amazing towing, but maybe just a little too low for daily driving. You hear the complaint about...
Well after just over 52,000 miles it's time to change out the tires. I went from the BFG KO2, which was a great tire until the end. It got pulled all over the road and wouldn't keep a balance. The new tires... Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT. I've read a lot of really good things about this tire in...
I'll stick to the plastic flares. These look nice, but I've seen people on the trails hitting similar style steel or aluminum flares on trees or rocks and it dented the body of the jeep. Keep them plastic and possible save body work.
I haven't had any issues it's been good so far but I'm changing over to the Midland GMRS MXT575 radio as most everyone I go with has moved over to GMRS. I'll keep the Allroad around if I ever need it but the trend seems to be GMRS or HAM where I"m at.
@Rock Krawler Suspension rear arms installed over the weekend. I love the difference in how the jeep rides now. No more cross talk in the rear track bar, floats over some train tracks in my neighborhood that use to make the truck shimmy sideways. Another benefit is this kit also fixes the stupid...
Santa came to my house early. Got the Rock Krawler rear triangulated system for Black Friday and saved 20%. I got the lower arms to go with it. I'm excited to get it installed soon and see how much it improves the ride. I was impressed with the quick delivery, and the packaging was pretty good...
I'm on the Mopar 2" lift with the Max Tow and 35's. Last summer I pulled a 5000# trailer from Utah to Oregon over some crazy long mountain passes. It did okay with the 4.10's... not great, but okay. The suspension had no issues with the weight distribution arms on the hitch. I did recently gear...
No, I'd keep it at 5.13's it's perfect. After your message I borrowed some 37's from a buddy and took my trailer for a cruise. I don't think you'll see any advantage to the 5.38's. If you're planning on 40" tires... maybe it would be great, but at that point you should probably be thinking of...
I've got 5.13's on 35's. I haven't had a chance to read everyone's response, but what that chart doesn't take into account is the weight of the new wheels and tires. I thought 4.88's but the shop I went to told me if I'm towing... and I do, that I'll want the 5.13's. I haven't regretted it yet...
You should have no problems with pulling that trailer. I have a Max Tow as well and pull the Apex M193BHS from Coachman. Tires are 35's and I will be going to 37's so I did decide to re-gear the axles. I pull a lot through the Utah mountains and it's just a little more help to get up and over...
I wish you were closer, I'd love to take them off your hands. I'm in Utah, I'm going to see if there's a way I can get to you. They are the wrong color, but I could get them painted. I'm wondering about the blind spot monitoring, I don't have that on my Jeep and wonder if it would play tricks on...
I'd like to be able to order the half doors. I sure like the way they look. Should have done it when I ordered my Jeep. but the sales guys said I'd be able to any time from the parts department. He was wrong.
I hate when these car magazines compare trucks/cars that aren't the comparable models from the factory. Let's compare a diesel to a gas truck, yeah they're very different, big surprise. It's like other reviews where they take the TRD Off-raod, the Colorado Bison and compare it to the base Sport...
It does go up a little in the front. I'm going to see if there is any adjustment in it, I just ran out of time after I got them put in, I don't think there's any adjustment on the bumper side but might be able to rotate the front down a little. It's level with the ground which is interesting. If...
Thanks.
The mount is from @813 Fabrication & Design. He did a good job with it. It almost allows me to fit a full sheet of steal in the bed (steal is generally larger in measurement than wood/drywall and I think they would fit fine). I might see if I can modify his box and try to narrow it a...
