Nothing more than the T50 Torx bit that comes in your Jeep tool kit. A small cordless driver will speed things up significantly, but you can do it all with the ratchet Jeep provides too.
There are two bolts up on the sport bar, and 6 (I think) around the base and back. Easy peasy.
I'm certainly no expert, but I think I can help shed a little light for you.
As a previous poster said, UConnect is just the name of the system that Jeep uses in their infotainment. It's analogous to Windows on a computer. UConnect is not a subscription; it's just the system you have in your...
I mean, the jury is still out on if the Rugged Ridge softtop is any good in the first place, and it's also well over $900 last I saw. I get your point though.
I found a Sunrider for $650 last year, and I don't regret a single dollar of it. No the freedom panels aren't that hard to operate, but...
Any insurance company worth a damn is going to deny this all day long. Barring an actual collision with another vehicle or object, the only way an insurance company would pay out is under their comprehensive coverage. IE, the coverage you use when you're clearly not at fault, but the thing that...
There's a much easier way to achieve this look and functionality:

Amazon has some of the best customer service and easiest returns of any company I've ever dealt with. I would order this long before ordering from Rugged Ridge themselves (their phone service is awful... lol)
This says "Sold by: Amazon", so you should be safe if anything were to happen.
I mean, I had the Mopar handles installed before. I went to put my Sunrider on, and the Sunrider bracket sits right on the roll bar where the Mopar handle would normally sit. It's possible I'm missing something, but I can't see what it would be.
FWIW, I'd take the Sunrider and some third-party...
I am mulling over a few names, but haven't decided on one yet...

1. ISAC - I'm a big fan of the game series Tom Clancy's The Division, and there are a lot of orange accents and logos in that game. ISAC is the Intelligence Systems Analytic Computer that is basically...
Also, not that it matters anymore, but you can peel those Bestop logos off pretty easily. They're only held on by adhesive.
Of course, there are 3 other logos on the inside (one on each latch, and one on the rear bracket), but you basically never see them anyway. I'll be curious to see what...
For me, the factory freedom panels take away a lot of the freedom/fun that you supposedly get with a Jeep. Having to lift awkward panels off and shove them into a flimsy bag works, but it's certainly not ideal. Being able to flip two latches at a stoplight and *actually* enjoy the convertible...
And I recommend you learn to have a simple discussion without resorting to insulting people. Besides, the discussion continued long past the quote you replied to. THIS is what I was talking about - I don't care if idiots walk into a parked vehicle and bang their knee...
I'm talking about having to drive around them. Most parking ramps where I live allow traffic in both directions with parking on both sides. Commonly, some Florida Man will drive his gigantic truck into one of these ramps with a ball hitch protruding into the driving lane, which effectively stops...
