So to follow up on all of this: First of all when I assembled the frames the brackets that bolt the top frames to the roll bar had fallen out of the bags that label them front and rear. So I had two switched and that wasn’t letting the right front corner of the top sit correctly, causing a...
thanks for the help! That’s where I put my middle straps too. I’ll get it in a heated shop tomorrow and see what I can do.
The back window being smooth is the only thing I got right today!
So I installed mine today. It was cold and windy. I will echo the prior comments about waiting for a warm day, it would have made life much easier. Also, the instructions arent great as has been mentioned. Anyway, it seems the front of the top barely touches the gasket at the top of the...
I just put an order in yesterday for one before the sale ended. I will use the hard top in the winter so this is a nice weather only option and it’s a third the price of the oem soft top. I appreciate everyone who posted about their experiences with it!
I have the amber lenses but I also have the clear ones. I use the amner ones for snow, fog, etc. The clear ones are nice when off-road to protect the lens.
Also, (as I’m sure @Summitdan can vouch for) the red bezels are not only the best looking bezel they offer but they also increase FE4 brightness by 7-10%.
Thanks! I actually like that awning a ton! It’s just as easy to set up as the roam awning I had before and the coverage is much more. I also like I can stake it down and keep the ladder area dry if it’s just me or use the poles and make a big sitting area. And if I don’t want to use it or take...
Mopar low for me. KC lights on the bar with mopar brackets and a badlands winch in the bumper. All works well. No interference with trail cam, although you can see the top of the lights in the camera view.
We have a 1998 34’ Airstream we use for long family trips. That camper is 24 years old and is in incredible shape. People mistake it for new all the time. We have owned several new campers over the years and the old airstream has been more trouble free and enjoyable to use than all of the new...
You certainly could! FE3’s would be good on the A pillar. The slimlites are more of a spot pattern and the FE4’s I bought are a combo pattern. I thought I wanted the spots up higher, so I went that way.
I have slimlites on my A pillar brackets and Flex Era 4’s on the mopar winch guard. Mopar makes a light bracket specifically for the winch guard. They work very well!
