  2. ordering out of state

If your state doesn't deal, has high doc fees, or puts a mark-up on the Gladiator it is worth it to buy elsewhere and have it shipped. The $650 isn't bad. Still could come out way ahead.
  3. My conspiracy theory on delays

Take a look at what happened with the 2018-early 2019 JLs. There were many hold-ups. Some people waited a year to receive their order, some never recieved, some waited 5 months, others recieved within a few weeks. It is normal.
  4. ordering out of state

FCA will only ship to the dealership that bought it. There are shipping companies you can pay to have it shipped to you from that dealership however.
  5. Jeeps Parking Next To Jeeps

I'm backed to the curb. It is slanted. I'm standing right between the two jeeps. If you'd like to bring your bulldozer and gravel truck to reconstruct the parking lot be my guest. I'll be happy to retake the picture once you have finished. The jeep as built is about a foot taller than the...
  6. Jeeps Parking Next To Jeeps

I saw this Gladiator yesterday so I decided to park semi next to it. The owner had it parked out in the middle of nowhere so I figured I'd leave a buffer zone. Tigger vs the Gladiator:
  7. Jeeps Parking Next To Jeeps

Almost every Jeep forum I have been on has a parking thread. After parking next to the first Gladiator I have seen in the wild, I realized that there isn't a thread on this forum. The thread is open to parking next to any Jeep or offroad vehicle.
  8. Sting grey owners (future) check in

Definitely not Sting grey. Anvil is that blue/gray mix. Sting Gray is more of a Gray/tan mix.
  9. Sting grey owners (future) check in

I'd suspect 4 work days after Granite became available as their production start is 4 days apart.
  10. Sting grey owners (future) check in

I check and I'm not even set on Sting Gray, or even a Gladiator at this point lol. I was dead set on a Gobi Gladiator but not sure if I want to wait that long so started considering black and Sting Gray. Now hear there may be a Metallic Rootbeer Brown on the 2020 JL which sounds appealing...
  11. Cancelled MY Launch Edition order

3k deposit? Ouch! Check if your state permits keeping the deposit. Some states require the dealership to refund.
  12. I work in the 'biz'...Gladiators already hitting the auction!

As soon as I saw the first one I knew it was from SoFlo Jeeps. Didn't even need to read. They don't get the best quality reviews lol.
  13. Reality Hitting Dealers, at least in OK

Have over 100 on lots within 25 miles of me. Definitely not a "rare or limited" vehicle that warrants a mark up.
  14. EVO Gladiator on 40's?

They bought a base model Sport and added around 30K in aftermarket parts. Comes out to close to the same price as a loaded Rubicon.
  15. How late can an order be altered?

I believe prior to D1 you can make changes. However, it bumps your order to the date the change was made.
  16. Feeling Let down about the ordering process

100% correct. I have ordered nearly 20 FCA vehicles in the past 5-6 years. The VIN means nothing in regard to when your jeep is built and they are not in sequential order. This can easily be seen on the JL Forum. Members that ordered after other members had lower VIN numbers.
  17. Feeling Let down about the ordering process

2 months isn't a long wait. When the JL came out, there were people who waited close to a year for their order while others received their jeep in a month. There is no rhyme or reason. I ordered a 2019 JLUR the second day that the order banks were open. People that ordered 2 months after me...
  18. Feeling Let down about the ordering process

VIN number in no way correlates to build date, they not not in sequential order either.
  19. Ordering a Gladiator-Is this normal?

In the Chicagoland area most dealerships require $1000 but I have been asked for as much as $2500. I told them they were getting $1000 and they crossed out the $2500 and took it.
  20. Possible standard soft top parts shortage

The standard soft top is the canvas like material that soft tops have been made of forever. The premium is darker in color and almost looks like felt. Both tops fold back. They can be completely removed but it will take time and tools.
