Not dangerous at all. You'll notice little differences (handling, MPG) but not dangerous. I have an 1.5" level kit on mine. Just turned 70k on it. Never experienced DW.
There's 3 guarantees in life. Death, taxes and CAI's have no real benefit on a daily driven vehicle other than sound different and look different.
There's dozens and dozens of videos of cars on dynos at WOT and in a "controlled environment" with HP increases. I don't disagree with that at...
I did Trail Seven's Kicker upgrade to the over head speakers and dash speakers. It definitely sounds crisp and crystal clear but has little to no bass so I added a cheap under seat bass box. I don't think it's much louder either. I would definitely need an amp to get what I was expecting.
Ok. You said a lot more than that. I still stand behind what I said. If you don’t agree because of your factory shaker hood set up we’ll have to agree to disagree. Not a big deal.
You're getting onto the weeds on this one. lol
I never said "cold air intake doesn't do a thing to air temp". I said a few degrees cooler while driving at highway speeds compared to driving stop light to stop light in town and temps getting higher than with the stock unit has zero benefit when...
Not the same thing...
You talking about something that was developed for that car by the manufacture. Was there a HP rating difference between the shaker hood model and the model without? If not, what's the benefit other than a nostalgic trim? Most of the vehicles that CAI's are put on...
A CAI showing a few degrees cooler while driving on the highway means nothing really. I guarantee that in normal stop and go traffic most if not all aftermarket CAI's will run hotter than the stock one. I've witnessed it on other vehicles of mine. K&N, Roush, Mopar, JLT. At stop lights the...
I think people get an itch to do something to their vehicle and a CIA is the easiest thing to do. You get some added noise and a little better throttle response and feel happy about it. Maybe a couple extra HP gain that you can't truly feel. It's the most expensive HP you can buy if you think...
Anyone take the time to figured out their real world MPG? I did it the first time last week on my Gladiator and I averaged 17.68mpg vs the 16 mpg my display said. I plan on doing it for the next couple fill ups to see what that average is. I've on this on other vehicles in the past and it was...
I haven't used them on my Gladiator, but I've ran several of their tunes on my "18 Mustang GT for years without issues. My favorite is the E85 tune. Easiest HP to add to a vehicle. I've have them update tunes based on mods, they're great to work with. If I wanted to tune my Gladiator they're...
I installed the DEI Headliner in mine. My motivation was heat reduction more than noise reduction. Since I already had sound deadening sheets, I covered the complete area that the panels were going to cover. Not just the strips that come in some headliner kits. I can tell a huge difference...
For me personally, I don’t put too much thought into it. Say anything above freezing I start it and in gear within 15 seconds or less and on my way. Extreme cold temps I might let it run 30 seconds or less and I’m on my way but just drive it easier than normal for the first few minutes. The...
