Anyone do it themselves? Got my front all disassembled last night, but the rear uses some sort of special torx head it looks like. Got stuck at that and had to reassemble my old shaft.
A little far from you, but if you ever vacation down this way let me know. I have a set of 4 in my basement that are just placeholders until my wife needs the stock tires on them.
Sorry,
Posted this then went in for surgery and disappeared. The unit actually does work decently well with the iPhone. I think I’d still like to head back toward the more factory style. Still interested in an 8.4 if anyone is looking to upgrade to the JL3001. I’ll even include my front facing...
Deez,
Currently looking into similar setup as you. Max tow, already did the fender chop months ago. Wondering if you ever got off road to test flex? My only concern is whether I should go 4.5" or not to allow me to keep my current fenders for a while instead of buying Rubi fenders. Plan to go...
So I was always an apple guy, work gave me an Android so I figured I'd work with the native is for a radio. Works like a charm, just not a big fan of the interface. Considering stepping back to a 8.4 (unless theres some folks running carplay with luck on the jl3001). Might consider a 7" with a...
My wife and I did it fairly easily. There's a youtube video available, don't remember if it's specific to the rock krawler or not, but guides you well. I put extended bump stops on though I don't know that they're necessary. Extreme terrain told me that I didn't need shock extensions. Otherwise...
So I reinstalled my rear max tow springs, but I maintained the front rubicon spring and all 4 fox shocks. But I had it off-road in the mountains of PA this week, beat it up pretty good (to the point that I need a ball joint). But I still love the kit. Only reason I'll ever change it out is to go...
Swapped my radio for an Insane audio unit. I have the unlock code and bezel for it. Bought my truck in November, no scratches or anything. Install is actually quite easy. Never had any of the issues people in groups are complaining of. Asking $500 firm.
Currently on my JT. Bought it a bit over a month ago and haven't had any issues with it. Just want to go full soft top now. Considering the price new, I'd really like to stay firm. $500.
Switched over to a Rubi suspension for height. My towing is limited. All parts have 9k on them. Springs, shocks, sway bar links, control arms and the factor front spring spacer from the bottom. Shipping would probably be too expensive due to weight so local would probably be best.
Tampa, had an hour ride home last night. Definitely a bit softer than my max tow springs (but pretty sure that's a well known fact). I had no roll or wandering that I read about. Still have to order my Tazer, so no mileage info yet. I would definitely say my ride is at least to me, comparable to...
Thanks Tampa. Got the kit installed last night. Found a few videos for other budget boost kits on YouTube. One video did not include removing the rear track bar, it's a real pain if you don't and makes it difficult to get the rear axle low enough to slide the springs in.
My before pictures are...
So I have the kit. Actually looking to do my install tonight. I was hoping I could put one set in to use it as a leveling kit 90% of the year and throw the rear puck in for my trips. Also, which is front and rear? Can't find instructions. Or will it be obvious when torn apart?
Guys and gals,
Have the LDRRX for the diamondback covers, SE or HD. Looking to get $180. Brandn in box they had been bought for my old GMC but I don't plan on putting a diamondback on the Gladiator. I'm in southeast PA something like 40 minutes north of Philly and some sort of pick up or meet...
WXman,
What wheel and size tire setup are you running? Mind sharing the wheels? Poke isn't too bad, but yeah... Would have to order rock guards myself.
