  2. Anvil clear Jeep gladiator 2024

Beautiful. Love that color. But what model might that be? Not sure if the hood decal has just been removed or what. And those tires!? They look smaller than anything I’ve ever seen on a Gladiator.
  3. Mopar reveals 250 limited-production Mopar '24 Jeep Gladiator

Much ado about nothing really. IMO of course.
  4. Question about the leather seats: "NAPA" vs just "Leather"

You’re not going to find the absolute answer here or by Googling. There are multiple NAPA leather product lines and nobody but mgmt level types at Jeep would know which they use. Obviously it’s not the same quality you’re going to find in a Lexus or any top tier auto company. Of course...
  5. Think Im done with Jeep, guys.

Oh man, that’s truck porn to these old eyes. I love those Raptors. But jeezus, they’re damn proud of them ($$$). But I’ll prob pull the trigger sometime; I suspect by the end of the year. Love the Gladiator’s styling, but I’m just tired of having such little confidence in this thing and don’t...
  6. Maxxis Razr AT $95 at Walmart

Ok, that makes sense and now I realize the reason I was confused is that I was evidently ignoring the fact these are 18’s and my brain was stuck on 17’s. Thanks for drawing me a picture. ?
  7. Maxxis Razr AT $95 at Walmart

Yea, I understand how to read tire specs. My thought isn’t changed. 35ā€ for a 285 would still be greater than any other 285 I shopped when I had them before upsizing to 315’s. The whole reason I went with 315’s was to achieve something closer to a 35. (I wanted some width too). If this 285...
  8. Maxxis Razr AT $95 at Walmart

Hmm, interesting. I’m guessing those are the manufacturers numbers and maybe they’re accurate, but it would be much bigger in diameter than any 285’s I’ve seen, BFG’s specifically. Btw, if Walmart is who will be mounting them and your wheels are still in good shape, you might want to check and...
  9. Maxxis Razr AT $95 at Walmart

yea, I’m not seeing a $95 tire either. $300+ is what I’m seeing. Plus they’re 285’s which isn’t all that close to a 35. Would seem closer to a 33 or possibly a 34. I run BFG 315/70R17’s and they only measure out to ~34.6 (or was it 34.4? can’t remember). I’m not familiar with the...
  10. Old school vs new school

20 years difference between the old reliable ā€˜03 TJ and the JT. Frankly I don’t get even trying to compare the two as they share pretty much nothing in design or tech and to me anyway, for two completely different purposes. Like ā€˜em both but if one of them had to go……well, someone’s going to...
  11. To lock or not? (Under-backseat-storage)

I thought about a lockable solution. For a couple of hours maybe and then realized it would be a complete waste of money. For me anyway. Like you said, a bunch of stuff like the winch strap, set of jumper cables, etc. Seemed like just a way to throw away money. I mean hell, if they’ve...
  12. Did my tire size actually change

That’s because when you measure from center to the ground you’re measuring the tire under load and that would only rarely be accurate
  13. Grill Guard... Mopar is how much $???????

You can find bull bars all day long on eBay for $100 and less.
  14. Advice requested re regear for 315’s

    Excellent information, thanks.
  15. Advice requested re regear for 315’s

Yep, twice. And both times I was able to demonstrate the rough shifting to an SA (to clarify I’m talking about it seeming to strain to upshift) but then the wrench turns it back in saying no problem found. Probably a good time to visit a different dealership. It’s becoming increasingly...
  16. Advice requested re regear for 315’s

Thanks. I guess I need to adjust how I view a high revving engine. I’m used to cars where when you’re in the higher rpm’s you know it w/o having to glance at the tach because they were screaming like a banshee as you’re bouncing the needle off redline. I guess I was figuring if I pushed it even...
  17. Advice requested re regear for 315’s

High revving? I’m used to some of the cars I’ve had liking to live in the higher rpm range, but I wasn’t aware that would apply to the JT as well. Interesting. Thanks
  18. Advice requested re regear for 315’s

That makes perfect sense to me. I’ve had the truck for a year now and the only complaint really is that issue where it doesn’t seem to want to up shift when my butt (and ear) tell me it should. It’s been to the dealership twice about it. The SA will drive it, acknowledge what I’m explaining...
